Excellent trip with Backpackers for a group of 26 people comprising of seven families which included ladies and kids. To maintain the homogeneity of the group and to ensure that the group enjoys its every moment spent with Backpackers, Rajesh Da and Manjit Da provided us with a dedicated traveller for the road journey from Kolkata and back. Rajesh Da and Manjit Da were available 24x7 during the entire stay of the group with the Backpackers and rendered their hospitality. Thanks to Rajesh Da and Manjit Da.

One of the best trips I had...The amazing sunderbans had a lot to offer starting from the serene landscapes to the amazing wildlife which we witnessed... Add to that the cosy eco village with its amazing food and wonderful people being the cherry on top... A special mention to om and ajay for being great hosts and guide😀😀

3D 2N trip it was, beating the weekend crowd, I have started de tour with a sunday. Hospitality, travel, accommodation, boat rides, transfers everything were beautiful. Things you could do or view: 1. Beautiful Sunsets from bay or on boat rides. 2. Bioluminescence in the water(plenty of it) with a boat ride at 10 PM in the silent waters, which is equally if not more mesmerizing than a sky full of stars. Literally, Aaj mein upar Aasman niche. 3. Boat Safaris for wildlife spotting. We were able to spot that day 6 types of kingfishers, 🐊 (2-3 types) on the banks as well as crossing, chitals(🦌) and other birds, and few other from watch towers (deer, wild boar, langurs, monkeys, Orioles). 4. Food is amazing here(be it veg/non-veg). 5. If one is concerned about the network, need not. Jio network (calls) is there around at the stay, only at few places on the boat ride during safari one loses the signal. FYI, even BSNL doesn't work. 6. Stay property is good with mud cottages, keeping it cold. Bed having a mosquito net, solves the issue while sleeping. But do carry a mosquito repellent just to avoid bites when you are out, just in the evenings. 7. Twin dogs at the property are very friendly, and many other pets. 8. Property has its own ⛵ boat parking, where you can directly set off to rides. With 2D 1N package, second day morning you will have to carry your luggage and keep in the boat when you go for the whole day boat safari ride after which you set off back to kolkata. With 3D 2N , it's a bit more leisurely, after sunrise to sunset boat ride, you get to come back and relax and chill and leave Sunderbans post breakfast on 3rd day. Do contact Ajay (Guests manager) for any bookings or enquires (+917667730967). --Trip Itinerary (3D2N)-- D1:- Set off kolkata(Park street via Science City) at 7 Am, reaching by lunch to stay at Sunderbans. Relax the afternoon, boat ride in a small boat to the backwaters and mud walk and back at sunset. Dinner and campfire. Later at 10 PM, a night boat ride for the peace, star gazing and bioluminescence in the waters. Return by midnight. D2:- A long day, setting off at 6 Am or early to sight wildlife by a relatively bigger boat with meals on board. View from Watch towers on the way as well. Return by sunset. Chill and sleep off. D3:- Stick to bed or wake up to sunrise and go out for a walk or cycling may be, or suit your adventure to bird watching or just sit and watch boats going by from the bay. Return journey starts around 10 AM making it in time for lunch at kolkata. Happy Adventures!

It was first trip to Sundarbans , after some research I decided to go with Tour De Sundarbans. They provide the most thrilling experience of Sundarbans. I was a bit skeptical before as I was traveling with my parents (78 years old) . If bagpackers eco village is the right place to take my parents. Well it is , my parents loved their night and day safari of Day 1. You experience Sundarbans the beauty of Sundarbans by the eyes of a local. Night Safari you get to see phytoplanktons , it glows when you touch the water. I have never experienced something like this ever before. Day 2 I must appreciate Ajay , his ability to spot wild animals is commendable. His knowledge about the place and local traditions is commendable. My family had super fun interacting with him. I wanna thank him for making our journey fun and interactive. Finally , the food I am non vegetarian they gave us Bhetki, chicken , tiger prawns and crab over the course of 2 days. And for vegetarians you will get the taste of authentic Bengali local cuisine. You would fall in love with the local cuisine. Overall , no matter you are traveling with friends or family it is definitely recommend for any age group. And 6 star service by Ajay, their cooks and our day 1 Majhi bhaiya.
