Thank you for a very relaxing two days!! I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, unfortunately saw no Tigers, but that is the luck!! Our driver was great, the boat staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and full of smiles , best coffee in India served on board :) The hotel was fantastic, clean and a very pleasant experience.

We planned 3Day 2Night Sundarban trip with "Sundarban Eco Tourism" folks. The idea was to get a break from the regular monotony of office work and spend some time away from hustle and bustle of city life. But, little did we know that this was going to be one of the most terrible experiences of our life. We had to pay 4500/- per head for the 3D2N package which we felt was on the higher side but we paid them nonetheless thinking that they might have excellent arrangements on the tour. Here are some highlights from our trip: Food Quality: Pathetic Food. No COVID protocols were followed. Everyone used their hands to pick salads and none of the staff intervened. While booking the trip, I had specifically asked Mr. Biswajeet Pradhan if there would be enough options for Vegetarian people and he said that they had enough variety in vegetarian items. But surprise surprise! All they had was Aloo mixed with some seasonal veggies. I guess that was the cheapest vegetable available at that time. They served paneer few times, which was even worse. So bad was the quality of paneer that we preferred to eat Aloo instead. On the last day of our tour, they reached another level. Two types of fishes were served to non-vegetarian folks but for vegetarians there was just one sabzi (Aloo again). So, if you are vegetarian like me, think twice before booking a trip with them. Utter Mismanagement and Lack of Planning: They looked like amateurs with little to no experience in the business of tours and travels. Don't go by the pictures of hotel and itinerary they share. It is highly misleading. Day 1 of itinerary mentioned visit to Sundarban Bird Jungle and Day 2 had a visit to Pakhiralay which is essentially the same. Day 3 of the trip mentioned visit to Hamilton Bungalow which they never took us to since it was closed on that day. So bad was the management that they did not know in advance that Hamilton Bungalow would be closed. They realized this only after making us walk for a kilometer in the scorching sun. Even when people complained about the same, they were least bothered. Hotel Stay: We had to to literally struggle for basic services like water. We kept asking the hotel staffs for a bottle of water but even after multiple reminders they did not seem interested. We had to finally go to the kitchen area by ourselves and fetch water from there. Day 1, they forgot to call us for Dinner and we were waiting in our rooms thinking that they might provide dinner late in the night. When we went to enquire about Dinner at 10pm, they said Dinner has been served already and they forgot to call us. Day2, we reached 15 minutes prior to Dinner time and were the first ones to sit on the dinner table. The lack of planning was evident from the fact that within 5 minutes of starting the dinner, when there were hardly 7-8 folks in the dining room, they ran out of sabzi and had to prepare it again. We being vegetarians had no choice but to wait for half an hour on dinner table before we got our share of food. Unprofessional Behavior of Biswajeet Pradhan (The tour operator): When we shared our feedback with him, this was his response. "You guys have had a wonderful trip. You just don't know it yet". What he means is that people who went through this terrible experience are naive and can't make a distinction between what is good and what is bad. He, on the other hand, sitting in the comfort of his home, has witnessed everything and can decide for all the tourists that it was a great trip. The least we expected was some sort of apology, but the guy was not ready to accept that anything went wrong. Bunch of losers who don't understand that customer satisfaction is critical aspect of running a business. All in all, won't recommended anyone to go with Sundarban Eco Tourism". They charge you exorbitantly but the services provided are sub-standard. Most importantly you won't have peace of mind and always feel like being cheated by these fraudsters.
