Navpreet and gang at FunOn Streets are thorough professionals at their work, and at the same time, humble, approachable and very friendly. They know their craft well and are part of some fantastic initiatives to keep Kolkutta as close to its authenticity and its history & culture alive.

Navpreet Arora, the affable, always smiling boss of FunonStreets took my wife and I on a lovely early morning walk thru the Kumartuli ( Potters colony) area of North Calcutta in early April 2022. It was a most enjoyable walk in which we met and chatted with the potter community, met Kumartuli's first lady Potter, one of the oldest Potter families and drank the sweetest, tastiest chai in traditional "bhands" ( creatively designed mud cups) in one of the bylanes from a jovial vendor who has been at the tea business for 35 long years! We also saw some very old Heritage buildings, including the erstwhile HQ of the famous East Bengal football club and the noted cricketer, Pankaj Roy's home. Don't miss Navpreet's Kumartuli walk when in Calcutta.

I went for two walks with Navpreet @ FunonStreets. One was Colonial walk & the other one was old Kolkata. I am a Calcuttan & even being in Kolkata for a very very long period of time, I didn’t know a iota of its rich heritage. It’s only through these walks that I rediscovered Kolkata & fell in love with this magical city. Navpreet was very articulate, meticulous with all the old data n facts & made the walk both fun & interesting. The only regret that I had was not having any more days to explore further.

Family was visiting Calcutta after a long time and we suggested doing this early morning Colonial walk with Navpreet and boy did we enjoy ourselves! Not only is Navpreet enthusiastic but is also very well versed with the history of Calcutta and was patient enough to field our unending questions! Such a good time was had that we didn’t realise, we had overshot the walk time limit by quite a bit! Can’t wait to explore more of Calcutta with her and getting to know more of this beautiful city!
