Akash is a great guide and very easy to get along with. He has a detailed knowledge of Kolkata and is a keen and talented photographer who will take you to some of the best photo spots the city has to offer. Highly recommended.

I found my photowalk with Akash to be a great experience for me. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to me in capturing some great scenes early morning at the Kolkata Flower Market and the the surrounding streets. I would definitely recommend him if you are in Kolkata. If and when I get back, I'll be sure to contact him to see more of this wonderful cite.

If there's one thing you should do, it's Akash's Footsteps Photowalks. I contacted him before arriving in Kolkata and we went out the first night along the river. Simply wonderful, not just the sights, but the people we met along the way. I was immediately hooked and did all the other photo walks, sometimes just the two of us, and some times with a couple of photographer friends who arrived after me. Akash is a local and knows the city inside out and he's also a really nice person. Highly recommended.

If you want to visit Kolkata with a local photographer
then this is the place ...
Akash is a wonderful educated person which certainly
give another dimension to the experience
for me it was a nice exchange!! and I added another day
when I came back to Kolkata from the upper north states of India

I did the Colonial Calcutta with Footsteps Photowalks. The city was all new to me, but not overwhelming as I am familiar with both Delhi and Mumbai. Akash introduced me to Calcutta in a relaxed way. No mass information, no hurry. We were walking the streets, looking at once beautiful buildings - but still beautiful in their own sense. We shot quite a few photos, took time to talk to people, it was hot, crowded and noisy and FUN. Akash would be my number one choice for a guide when I return to Calcutta!
