When you visit the Tiger hill this means you have to be ready at 4am to catch a glimpse of the sunrise which falls upon Kanchenjunga but the whole experience is ruined as non-maintenance of roads, View points etc.

This is the most important aspect of the Darjeeling tour. If you don't see the sunrise due to bad weather, go again on a clear day. Make it very early in the morning to avoid crowding

We visited Darjeeling in the month of June 2019. It was my first ever experience of watching sun rise and the rays falling on the snow capped Mt.Kanchenjunga. It was a breathtaking view. Truly rejuvenating and gets you forget everything else and takes you to a whole new world. The place gets too crowded as everyone rushes to catch the glimpse. And since the sunrise in this place happens earlier than the rest of India, you might have to be there between 4 and 4:30 AM which means, you need to wake up by 3:30 AM to be able to witness this marvel.

Though the train ride is expensive around Rs.1650/- per person but I assure you the experience will not be forgotten for a long long time. The 360 degrees loop is also a memorisation effect not to be forgotten for a long long time

Too much hype. And yes, that is the truth about most of the tourist spots. We could only see sunrise. And it was no different than sunrise at any other place. You are always at the mercy of weather to see mountains. It was cloudy when we reached there. The guy who was selling warm clothes there told us in advance (after selling warm caps to us and not before that 😁) that we gonna see nothing in this weather. I am wondering. How come local guys don’t know about this. They just want you to go there so they generate business for taxis, and place remain hyped.

It was so cold and windy. That was another negative point. If we not gonna see anything (which is the case most of the times), why stand there for 2 hours in that cold.

If you are in Darjeeling and you haven't visited tiger hill sunrise observatory then your Darjeeling visit is worthless. Some one cant complain of busy schedule to visit tiger hill sunrise observatory because if you want to visit this place you have to wake up at 3am and you have to reach the destination by 4.30 am. And believe me you will not be disappointment. It will be lifetime experience for you to watch Sun god coming out with beautiful view of Kanchanjunga.

A great experience if weather permits. The view is breathtaking but definitely not a quiet zen experience. Part of the experience is the jockeying of cars going up and coming down - a true Indian motoring experience.

To have the best Sunrise experience you have to get up early and reach by drive on time since it becomes crowded , you need to position yourself correctly to have a clear view of sunrise and the ranges.

We can never see such sunrise point anywhere else in the country. The best part is when the sunlight falls on Kanchenjunga . An unforgettable experience
