Whw!what a professional service and well organized.our goechala trek in Sikkim our guide Sherpas was very experienced and a great person to spend our time on the trek with.he was a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer every question he had about the Himalayas,the culture, and the trek. He told us that it was the job of the guide to make sure we walk,eat,sleep, and enjoyable.
So we didn't need to worry about anything during our trek in Sikkim Goechala from the beginning of our trip everything was organized for trekking equipments porter accomodetion nesesary and looked after all emails answered promptly.
Our experience with Ashmita Trek and Tours was excellent overall.and the rest of Ashmita teams made sure our bookings went smoothly.we highly recommend Ashmita as a service to all and we definitely coming back in the coming year to do Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal!

we did the Sandakphu to Phalut Offbeat Trek for 6 days with Rupesh as our guide. Ashmita Tours was always responsive and well organized. the trek was an amazing experience combining up and down hikes in pristine Old growth Forest, high elevation walks with hills and mountains in the distance, and experiencing small Nepalese style forest villages along the way, and at the top of Phalut, above the clouds at 13,000 feet stunning and emotionally moving views of some of the tallest mountains in the world, including Everest and kachchanjunga. Rupesh was everything you could ever ask for in a Himalayan guide: he looked out for our safety, knew the terrain and the towns like the back of his hand, seem to know people everywhere, provided quality meals including one he cooked, knew the fauna and flora, and the geography. he was good humored, and had the important skill of sensing when we were doing well on the long 10 mile a day hikes and when we were having a harder time and adjusting as necessary, including taking a Jeep for part of the longest 21 km hike to Phalut. it was a rigorous trek overall with two quite difficult days and the others more moderate. The accommodations along the way varied and the more remote trekker's huts were very spartan. I would highly recommend bringing a zippered travel sleep sack, a small inflatable backpacking sleeping pad, and a small packable sleeping bag, and a camping pillow as it was often very cold at the high elevations at night. this was a fairly remote trek that takes effort to get to which was great because there were very few other people on the paths. overall, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience made possible by the quality of Ashmita tours and the exceptional guiding ability of Rupesh who we can't thank enough.

While planning our itinerary for Darjeeling, we had planned initially to visit the Tiger Hill which is famous for sunrise and just like other tourists we had also planned on a TO and FRO visit via a Cab.
However we came across Ashmita Tours and Treks, where we found that they conduct a trek from Tiger Hill while returning through an interesting forest route of about 4 kms or so , followed by walk to one of the local house , where breakfast is served in a very serene and breathtaking surroundings.
We registered for it and was introduced by our sweet guide "Sangay" on the day of Trek. We were picked up from our hotel at 4am in a cab and we proceeded towards Tiger Hill. Sangay gave us the best seat in the house and brought some tea and coffee while we settled down in the dark cold environment with hundreds of other tourists around us. We patiently waited for sunrise to happen and captured the majestic Kanchenjunga.
After sunrise, we prepared to start the trek back and on the way Sangay explained us geography of the mountains peaks visible from a distance. After walking few meters, there came a forest with a narrow path. Sangay asked us to follow him and we started walking towards it. It was such a majestic experience walking a good 4 kms through that forest. The trees and plants were so densely populated that even though there was a good sunshine that time , but it was not reaching us as it was getting blocked by the vegetation.
Once we crossed the forest area, we reached the regular roads leading up to Darjeeling Market. We resumed our walk and on the way , Sangay took us to the home of one of the local for breakfast. The terrace of the house , was having a neatly laid up table and a couple of chairs with an umbrella . From the terrace, you could view the hills and the valley while enjoying the awesome breakfast.
Once our breakfast was done, we proceed on foot with Sangay towards the Darjeeling Mall Road and market where we commenced our tour.

Had an overwhelmingly pleasant experience with Ashmita Trek & Tours during my last trip to Darjeeling.
I contacted them at the last moment with just 3 days of tour in hand. The customised tour planning and necessary arrangements covering 3 days done by the owner Subash Tamang, on the spot and that too at the very last moment, is a commendable one.
They'll provide you only with knowledgeable and experienced guides and the best cab drivers during your tour with them. The charges too are reasonable and the best available in the market given the quality of services.
The readily approachable and transparent manner in which the entire team at Ashmita have been conducting their business is something that attract tourists time and again to avail their services.
Please keep up the good work, Team !!!

We planned a four-day trek with Ashmita Trek & Tours, Darjeeling. We were a family of four with two kids of age 6 and 9. Ashmita Trek & Tours made customized tour plan and treks keeping their age and strength and capability in mind. I made multiple calls to them and coordinated with Mr. Subash Tamang over phone, email and WhatsApp. He was very helpful and patiently answered all my questions, which helped in the perfect planning of our tour. Without Mr. Subhashish Tamang’s help we could never successfully complete this trek which was the first time in kids’ life and our life. We also opted for their airport car pick up and drop services. We requested for an English-speaking guide in the trips because the kids don’t understand Hindi. During the entire tour we were totally satisfied with their service. Prior to the journey we were given the contact numbers of the driver and the guide. On the very first day of the journey, the guide was there in the hotel on time we started our journey as per schedule. We met Mr. Dawa Lama, the most knowledgeable person of the trekking route, who was there with us for the next three days. We were astonished to learn that he was working as a guide in this route for the past 25 years. He is also trained from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and went into many expeditions. This man was a legend and surely, he helped us in each and every step and with his knowledge and familiarization with the route and his connection with the locals. His spoken English is excellent! Never in the trek did we face any trouble because of him. We went from Darjeeling to Dhotrey by car and from there we trekked to Tonglu. We stayed at Trekkers Hut at Tonglu. Then next day we went to Tumling and Singalila National Park and stayed at Shikhar Lodge at Tumling. Next day, we trekked from Tumling to Chitrey and then we took the car from Chitrey to Darjeeling. One day later, we went to Chatakpur day trek with them and Mr. Lama was there to guide us as well. We did not pay premium price to Ashmita Trek & Tours for this tour but in every step, we felt every penny was worth paying because of the preferential treatment that we received along with a personal touch from Mr. Dawa Lama. We tried to book a room near Ghoom but when all other places said “no vacancy”, Mr. Subash Tamang helped us out by arranging for a beautiful home stay near Jorebunglow. That happened to be the most exciting one of all the places we have stayed so far but that’s for another story (and review). During the entire car journey, we were provided with AC Innova as we requested and they promised. I would highly recommend Ashmita Trek & Tours for any kind of travel in Darjeeling.

We had a superb experience with Ashmita Tours! They planned a 5-day itinerary to Darjeeling that included some off the beaten track locations that were exquisite. Our driver and guide Dilip was truly amazing both at navigating the winding twisting roads and breaking up traffic snarls as well as in taking excellent care of my mother who is a senior citizen. Many thanks to Ashmita Tours and Dilip for the wonderful experience and long-lasting memories.

My partner and I were guided on the Singalila Ridge Trek by Ashmita Trek and Tours in February 2023. I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences we have ever had. We booked at the Ashmita Trek office in Darjeeling and were assisted by the extremely helpful Norbu who explained all of the trek details. Once we booked the Trek, Subash, the General Manager of Ashmita contacted us to check if we had any further queries before we set off, which was greatly appreciated. Our guide, Sangay, collected us from our hotel and immediately put us at ease, explaining the plan in detail. Sangay then took us on a four day journey that we will never forget. He was a truly incredible guide, combining a warm and encouraging approach with some much needed encouragement during some of the tougher stages of the trek. Sangay has an exceptional knowledge of the route (as well as many other local routes) and is also a very highly qualified trekking and climbing instructor. He entertained us with some amazing stories of his adventures and his excellent sense of humour added a really personal touch to the trip. Our every need was taken care of by Sangay and at no stage did we feel unsafe. Sangay was quite literally the best guide we have had on any trip, anywhere in the world. He is also an all round lovely man. During the trip we saw some unforgettable scenery including getting a clear view of the Kanchenjunga mountain range at sunrise. When we returned to Darjeeling, Subash went out of his way to meet us in person to thank us for choosing Ashmita. We are extremely grateful to Sangay, Subash, Norbu, and to the rest of the Ashmita Trek and Tours Team for a truly outstanding experience.

It is unbelievable how well planned the trip was. I was travelling with my elderly parents and I was amazed at the service and facilities provided by Ashmita Trek & Tours. We took the Land Rover trip from Maneybhanjan and having been there before, I knew how hard it was to provide a comfortable trip and stay. In spite of the inherent difficulties our Guide Mr. Binod Tamang left no stone unturned to provide us with the best services with a ever-brimming smile. He is extensively well versed with the flora, fauna and terrain of the region. Mr. Subhash Gurung, the owner is an experienced mountaineer himself and his amicable nature is worth a million. There is no other place one should look at other than Ashmita Trek & Tours for their Himalayan Getaway. Hope to travel with you soon again.

I would like to strongly recommend Ashmita treks and tours for anyone interested in trekking and other adventure sports. Subhash ji and Rupesh ji were extremely good at guiding us through the trek. I was completely new to trekking but they taught us so much and cared for us so well that I would like to trek again with them. In a few minutes from the start of the trek, we became friends for a lifetime as if we knew them since childhood. My team comprised of elderly people, but our guides made sure they didn't face any problems during the trek. Would like to travel with them again in the future.

Simply awesome. The trek takes you from the lush green forests of the Himalayan foothills, through misty Rhododendron forests in bloom right up close to numerous plus 6000 m peaks including the majestic Mt Kanchenjunga. We were blessed with great weather thru the trek giving us amazing mountain views both at Dzongri Top and further at View point 1.
A demanding trek that will test anyone both physically and mentally but totally worth the effort for the solitude and views of the Himalayas. As a side trip for better acclimatisation we climbed up to the Dzongri pass as well.
I used Ashmita Trek and Tours who arranged the airport transfers, hotel stays, guide, cook and helpers. They are easy and straightforward to deal with and put together a top notch, professional operation. Great dealing with Subash Tamang and a special mention to my guide Sangaye Sherpa and his team. Sangaye is a highly experienced and qualified mountaineering guide and very knowledgeable about everything Goecha La
I will not hesitate to recommend this unit to anyone who wants a customised Goecha La experience.

We did a wonderful trek with Ashmita tours - a three night four day trip in Singalila National Park. Beautiful morning views of the Himalayas and few crowds when we went in October. Enjoy!

we are planning to visit Darjeeling and Sikkim in the month of October. We have only 5 days and we are thinking to spend 2 days in Daarjeeling and 3 days in Sikkim. We don't want trekking kind of activities, instead of that we want sightseeing trips. Tell me your suggestions

My suggestion would be to skip Darjeeling and spend all 5 days in Sikkim. Sikkim has everything Darjeeling has and more. Darjeeling, once the queen of hill stations has become dilapidated.
