Visiting with some great friends was a big plus as we had a cabin to ourselves. We sang our hearts out as we set out from one end to another crossing some beautiful tea plantations beneath. Its definitely worth the money you pay..

We walked here from Darjeeling train station (40 mins) the walk is easy mostly downhill so don't be conned by drivers saying you need a taxi as you don't! We must of been lucky as there was no que at all walked right on! It cost 175 rupees (return) and runs from ten till four in peak season and till... More

“Darjeeling ropeway” is one of the most beautiful and thrilling attractions of Darjeeling. It is India’s first Passenger Ropeway. The ropeway is between Darjeeling North Point (Singamari) and Singla Bazaar. After tragic accident, the ropeway has been extensively modernized. Now the visitors can safely travel over the clouds to witness the aerial view of the lush green tea gardens on... More

The ropeway is basically an incline. One side up and one side down. It takes about an hour to complete the journey. The view from the cable cars is indeed marvelous. However, considering the long queue and the mismanagement at the counter, you might wanna visit the ropeway in some odd hours of the day else be prepared to test... More

Though be prepared to wait for 2-3 hours for the ride during season, the view of the Rangeet valley is incomparable.

Darjeeling being a hill-station is itself a very beautiful place. However, the rope way provides an aerial view of the place which is truly wonderful. You can enjoy the scenic mountains with its rich greenery from here. The ropeway lands in a flat area which also offers a good view of nature. Would recommend tourists to visit this.

Waited for 1 hour to get ticket. The ticket printer wasn't working. There is nothing special to view in rangeet Valley. The Kanjenjunga view is good. That can be viewed from some other place as well. At down station you have to kill time no attraction there as well. Below average ride for rs.175

I went there on a 2pm/Friday on mid Nov 2016. It was not at all crowded and we could get inside the ropeway in just 5-7 min wait. It was really amazing view of the valley from the ropeway. It was going really high and it takes around 1 hour to go and come back. Once you reach the other... More

During peak season, this spots takes approx 3-4 hours. Nice tea gardens and beautiful hills can be viewed from the rope way.

Waiting times are over 1 and half hrs. Too much rush. Better to go early when it opens else you will be stuck in the queue for long.
