The enchantment of the vow while sitting inside the monastery is the major highlight. The place calms you down after a long day's travel.

The Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda is a calm and peaceful place where visitors can spend a relaxing time, surrounded by greenery. The place is sometimes shrouded by fog, and this adds to the serenity of the place. One can sit and listen to the deep sound of the drums being gently played by the monks of the Buddhist temple.... One of the must see attractions of Darjeeling and just next to a monastery. Some steps to walk but nothing too tedious. Just make sure you take off your shoes at the stairs.

It is an awesome place only if you reach there in time of prayer. We visited this temple during afternoon. One Japanese Priest takes care of the temple. it is a good place for meditation.

This is worth a visit especially if you're interested in Buddhism. We didn't go in the morning when they have prayers but heard it was really good to go then too.

It's a quite place with a beautiful statue of Lord Buddha. You can get some peace which will take you away far from the noise of Darjeeling city. You can relax for sometime with awesome natural Beauty. Must visit in Darjeeling.

An awesome place to walk in the morning. Takes around 30 - 45 mins to reach this place from Darjeeling station. Mesmerizing views of Darjeeling city along with Kangchenjunga and sleeping Buddha in the backdrop. We got the witness the prayers and beat the traditional Japanese drums as well. Felt eternal peace a moment of pure bliss
