It is a temple to buddha.Famous as Japanese temple.Area surrounded by lama"s.The place is peaceful with a small monastery.Big Statues of Buddha. The surrounding trees are 100 feet long and on a foggy day, it really looks heavenly.

Beautiful structure and very well maintained. Try to go in the morning (as early possible) to avoid traffic jam and crowd, which will help to enjoy the serenity!

Japanese Peace Pagoda is within 30 minits by car from clock tower. In Darjeeling most (city) locations are within 4-5 km range but they take some time in negotiating the contours and curvy roads.
