You can climb the rock wall for 60 rupees. I highly recommend checking it out and visiting the museum as well. There is also an area where you can try on traditional Darjeeling clothing which is quite fun.

This place is great for photography, and seeing a bit of the culture. I wouldn’t spend more than an hour here though. Nice place, beautiful view, and very peaceful!

Japanese Peace Pagoda is within 30 minits by car from clock tower. In Darjeeling most (city) locations are within 4-5 km range but they take some time in negotiating the contours and curvy roads.
