Neighbourhood: Vadapalani
A densely populated neighbourhood of the city, Vadapalani is an important junction for all local travellers since one of the main bus terminals of Chennai is located here. Most popular for the city’s prolific film studios and the Vadapalani Andavar Temple, the busy streets here are a great spot to bump into some of the big stars who visit the temples here whenever a film is going to get released. Studded with some of the oldest schools, hospitals and colleges, this residential area with a strong pilgrim vibe is popular among the locals for some of the best mall shopping and as an entertainment hub with the biggest multiplexes in the vicinity.

Used to be our standard weekend movie hall before covid. Glam appeal and easily among the best in class for the movie experience, food, seating comfort and service.

Would be interesting to see how the post covid situation would be.

The place has a very nice ambience. Overall the movie screen are good and they maintain it well. IMAX theater is too small for the big IMAX experience generally we look for. Other than that other screens have good quality projection. Nice ambience qq

First of al, if you are used to Western cinemas, the film STARTS ON TIME!! Not 20 minutes later after all the ads and trailers. There's also a 15 mins intermission.
Wow, what a beautiful setting for a cinema! Seats were large and comfy - no need for any upgrade although I don't think there was an option for that in my screening. We ordered online (£3) and showed tickets to the usher. Snacks can be bought via touch screen - handy if the usual lines are big.
As cinemas go, this has been the best overall experience.

I was on my first visit to Chennai and as the mall happened to be next door to my Hotel , Green Park , I decided to watch the latest movie of Terminator in IMAX . The entire experience has been surreal with a futuristic atmosphere. The place has been absolutely clean and the paperless experience has a fantastic . There are 9 screens and each is great . The cinema Hakka are week decorated in an ornate fashion . Excellent seats . Value for money .

Excellent design inside theatre

Wonder how they have accommodate 8 screens including IMAX.
Food items are tasty and costly
Only doubt is regarding safety if something happens

One of the best locations in Chennai to watch movies in IMAX and normal movies. Cost is moderate. Food is good. Parking is little bad, need to go around and around. Mall escalator also is round(going up in one way, going down in another way), so sometimes we miss the movie if we don't go early.
