We visit ISKCON temple in Bangalore. Happened to go to chennai and went to Hare Krishna temple Chennai. Still the temple is not completed but the vibration is great. Beautiful Vigrahas of Sri Krishna Rulmini and Satyabhama. Nice bhajan yesterday evening. My daughter was dancing with excitement.

Just along side the beach very serene ambience.Beautiful garden and sea waves add to the beauty of the temple, that added with the Krishna's Bhajans gives a sense of calmness after the day's or week's long hustle bustle.
Special programs on Sunday eve...a must visit if your are planning to be or in Chennai.

For me the popular Iskcon temple in Chennai is the one in Shollinganallur. It is quite big and sandwiched between ECR and OMR. I would say its more closer to ECR , as there is an entrance from ECR.
Coming to the one near Thruvanmiyur beach, this one is in a serene area. It is not that frequented though may become popular in coming years. I've visited it once and thats it. Carries the usual vibes that an Iskcon temple would . If you are looking for something that is nested in a Serene location, this is a good one to visit.

Hare Krishna. I am Gopi and have been a member of Iskcon for 35 years. I am looking for a place to stay near Kalakshetra foundation. My daughter Kamala who is 14 and I will be staying in India for some time so she can take classes at Kalakshetra. Do you all have any facilities near the temple that's reasonable? It would be nice to be around devotees.
