The temple is grand and breathtaking. There are many Hindu rituals going on all the time, but access to religious ceremonies is not allowed. You need to take your shoes off at the entrance and I suggest wearing socks and putting your shoes in bags...More

Its located in the centre of city and easily accessible also. The temple is clean and darshan is made good. It has timings, check for it before going. Many chats/snack tuck shops are there right outside.

It is the 1st favourable place to visit in chennai, one should really visit this place. The temple is very big and having very good architecture, several festival organised there , the place is always crowded , The road to reach there is little narrow.

Kapaleeshwarar Temple is a temple of Shiva located in Mylapore, Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The form of Shiva's consort Parvati worshipped at this temple is called Karpagambal is from Tamil, ("Goddess of the Wish-Yielding Tree"). The temple was built around the 7th century CE in Dravidian architecture.

I didnt ask the authority over there, so dont have concrete information about it... But when i visited there, the gates of the ponds were closed, and the locals over there were saying that - its only open for any ceremonial... More
