Originally started with a more serious conservation point of view, Crocodile Bank is now the weekend spot for a fascinating day of herpetology. For the kids, it’s a special treat to see large crocs spend the day languorously by the water. The Madras...more

Monday is holiday, so be cautious when plan your visit here. I am seeing people rushing taking photos and spend less time at each pond. Be relaxed and spend more time in each pond, you will be surprised by mouth opening, swimming, fighting and food...More
Parking is an issue here, but if you chose the Night Safari you'd find ample space at the entrance. Charges are I believe 200 for adults and 100 for the kids. A volunteer walks you through the facility giving you a good briefing on what...More
This is worth a short visit and they have quite a collection.
I’m not sure why they keep quite so many Marsh Mugger crocodiles .
The Snake Venom Centre next door is fascinating but an English guide should be available, even if just a leaflet.
A small but interesting place for kids to see different types of crocodiles.. fortunately there is a reasonable amount of shaded area to walk in, otherwise the heat is quite oppressive.
The star attraction, the biggest croc called Jaws was nice enough to be awake...More
This place is a must visit if travelling leisurely on the ECR or if you have some time to spare. They have a variety of species housed here and it is a treat to watch that many crocodiles in one place.

Visting MCBT (INCLUDING SNAKE PARK WITHIN THE CAMPUS) takes only max 2Hrs. and feeding activities takes place around at 2PM. Annasalai to Crock park travel will be around 2 hours(one side), depends upon traffic, it may further increase. In my knowledge, there is no night safari and it is available at their website only. So if you plan to reach Crock park in the morning, it is possible. And the historical Cholas place Mamallpuram is hardly 12 Km away from MCBT. Plan to reach Mamallapuram in the morning, spend till 10 AM, Then go to MCBT and spend there till 12 Noon, Leave to Airport/Railway station/Annasalai by 12.15 PM, You will reach any of these places by 2. 30 PM. Get some quick lunch (parcel)from Adayar Ananda Bhavan or similar hotels and have it in the car. This will be bit hectic, but if you really want, then it is possible provided mode of transport is own vehicle/Taxi. If you want to see the feeding activity, then it will be difficult to reach Annasalai by 3 PM.
