Absolutely no charm in the beach. On a Tuesday evening when we visited, it was almost deserted, except for isolated individuals going on a walk or talking over mobile phone or passing the way; a couple of stalls and their owners chatting and a small group of fishermen. Otherwise, the beach road is used for parking the neighbouring office vehicles. Be cautious about the stray dogs around and plan to visit only during the weekend evenings, if at all you want to see.

I personally love this beach because of very neat and cleaned, and recently developed this beach(like.... trees, chairs ,parking area)it's beauty-full view of waves, and one more advantage of palavakkam beach there's no shops in near to sea,,,,,
and it's lovely place to children and adult playing area,,
because of beach opposite side one empty grass ground is there,..so u can play beach ball and cricket also ,,,,

The palavakkam beach is one of the recently developing beaches. It is usually visited only by the surrounding population for an evening walk or an evening out. It is less hit by commercialisation when compared to the other beaches and chennai and the sands are very clean! And relatively has less stalls. Really hope its stays this way.. since its been attracting lot of people! A must visit if you are in chennai😊

It’s the best public beach in Chennai with less crowd, that too if you can get there around 4PM, you can have a wonderful time. You can spot plenty of crabs and mussels washed ashore, which would be very interesting for kids. There’s good amount of parking available for cars too! Only issue I find with this place is it’s very dirty at some spots, which could have been better maintained.

Enjoy with family and kids. Lot of stalls with ice cream, snacks like fries, corn, chat, bajji etc. Less tides, safe to play in water. Less crowded compared to Marina beach.place for parking available

We had some guests from Japan and they wanted to visit the beach, this being close to our office we took them here. Sure, the view of the sea is always beautiful, but everything else out in Palavakkam is poor. The approach to the water through the sands is dirty. We were here in the evening, by the time we were getting out it was dark , the lighting is extremely poor. Visitors are left with rather poor impression.

We were at Restore and instead of depending on transport to go somewhere we just decided to walk down to this beach. It was Sunday evening so the place was packed. The usual snack shops were open and all the beach fun things to do were there as well. Less lighting and not as clean. But not bad either.

Wide windy area available, best place to spend time in the evening. We can go with friends and families.
Holiday evenings will be crowded. People make use of the adjacent place for games like cricket. No problem for parking vehicles. Lengthy road from ECR to Beach available to reach the beach and for walking purpose.
In the Morning people come here to learn driving vehicles
