Very nice place to rent a motorcycle. I did 1834km on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the never add a problem with the bike. Prakash was really helpful with the tips of roads and driving me around a little bit to try the motorcycle he even bring somewhere to get my cellphone holder in place. The ride was really good I took the bike from Chennai to Goa and they arrange the pick in Goa. I followed their advices and did the rod from Madurai to Cochin passing by Munnar! Alam (Vicky's brother) was also very nice at the pickup and came where I was to take it and explained everything to me for the bills.
Thank you so much I wouldn't have the same experience of India without you guys!

We rented a ROYAL ENFIELD classic 350cc to try out if we are able to handle a RE before we buy our own one.
Prakash gave us advice what RE model to choose and was very friendly overall. Furthermore he took the motorcycle to the local service stall to check if everything was alright just before we left for our trip.
We were glad with our trip and everything went out as we wished. Thanks to Prakash (as well as to his team) for his excellent service.

The nicest people delivered a Honda Activa to my hotel in Chennai. They were helpful with any question I asked. I rode it 400km south along the east coast and over to Trichy. The company representative met me within 30 minutes after contact to retrieve the bike in Trichy and arranged for its transport back to Chennai. The bike was flawless, the company was always easy to contact and helped make my India visit a great one.

I'm from Australia and I ride bikes in many countries around the world.
I consider myself extremely lucky to have found Vicky and his team in Chennai. I was having a hard time finding a rental so sent an email to SFA Bike Rentals asking if I could chat by whatsapp as I had a few questions before I commited online.
Vicky, the owner, gave me so much time answering everything succinctly. The experience was second to none. Smooth, seamless and importantly a friendly and caring team. Nothing was too hard.
The bike (Royal Enfield Himalayan) performed perfectly over 4400 klms. I was fortunate enough to see the bike preparation prior to handover and was impressed with new brake pads, steering head bearing adjustment etc.
I was picked me up from the airport. Paperwork took 10mins, and bike return even quicker. I was even dropped off at my hotel after I returned the bike!
Seriously great experience. Thank you.

I'm using bikes from here for past 2years... They are really helpful in times of need, aswell as being completely honest and transparent. Bikes are available almost all the time and they go out of their way to accomodate personal requests from customers. It's really a pleasure to avail their services.

I have rented Duke 200 for a day's trip. It was an old Duke..!! - 71000km in odo..!! Engine came to halt frequently when driving traffic and in rain, have to crank several times to start the engine. This happened in each signal - Very annoying, but no problem in highways.Speedometer was working some times, no rear view mirror. But they was not given any thing to compensate.

We are both from the U.S and rented a nice motorbike to drive for 3 weeks. It was a great trip and the best way to explore India. Best part was not having an bike issues. Highly recommend it!

Even here on TripAdvisor you have left 2 reviews. In fact you started posting the same negative reviews all over internet in more than a dozen places .
I had to call one of your friends to take down few of the reviews. Being unhappy with a service is acceptable but spamming and trying to hurt a honest business is not. Already I have replied to all your accusations. Except for the bike broke down 100 meters from my office, everything else is untrue. My apologies for that.
The website through which you claim to have booked the bikes www.sfamotorcyclerental.com had no booking feature as we never had a payment gateway enabled to it. You were never able to show any confirmation email to support your claim. You never paid any money also. When there was no booking then the question of reserving the models doesn't arise.
And please dont try to portray a cheap image of anyone by saying we tried to steal Rs.100 worth petrol.
I wonder how do you find this much free time doing all these?
My advice to you my friend , an unhappy service is not end of life. Dont take these things so seriously that you are writing reviews and abuses for over a week. Relax and enjoy your life.

Saw good reviews on Tripadvisor so I contacted this company for a 28 day rental.
Was in contact by email. Ignored most of my questions and very slow to respond.
I asked for a bike in good condition.
When the bike was delivered it was extensively damaged and 9000 kms on clock.
I asked to change for a bike in good condition. The next bike was delivered and kept stopping. Stalled 8 times on first day nearly killing me in traffic.
I asked for a replacement in good condition politely by email.
Instead of giving me a bike in acceptable condition he came to my hotel and started arguing with me.
I strongly advise you NOT to give these people your business!!

My friend the first scooter given clocked only 8695 km and was only 14 months old. You wanted only a complete black Scooter with no other color stripes on it. So we delivered a black activa in very good condition. But you started complaining that's it's old and done too many km, which was surprising. The same day later in the evening again we delivered a Tvs zest 110cc Scooter ( again a complete black one) which was 7 months old and done 8000 km. You test drove the bike and took it. The next day I started getting messages that the scooter was stopping at low speed and I started getting complaints from you saying this Scooter is very old and it has done 8000 km and it's stopping. I immediately called you and told it was only the idling speed. And we can adjust it in less than a minute, fixed an appointment with you , came to meet you. I brought a Mechanic along. The moment you met me at the reception of your hotel, you warned the Mechanic to go out and ordered only me to stay there. You were drunk and started abusing us complaining we were trying to kill you by hiring this bike. You didn't even let me answer you and abuses went from bad to worse Infront of all the hotel staff. The experience was so humiliating. When the mechanic came inside to cool you down and you abused him also and asked him who permitted this monkey to come inside and made him go outside again. I couldn't take your abuses anymore and it was me who said I don't want to do business with you by losing our self respect and paid you in full ( we didn't charge you for the two days you used the bike) and collected our scooter back. ( Sir you didn't return it but we took it back) And finally we adjusted the idling speed in 2 min. The scooter was ok and we returned. My friend I still believe getting respect is much more important than getting business and good reviews. In 7 years we must have received more than 5000 Western tourists and I find everyone to be super polite and very friendly. I am explaining this whole story since you have put me in such a situation where I have to tell other people reading this what really happened. If you find 14 and 7 months scooters too old, that's little surprising for me. If you find any of my actions offensive I tender my apologies. My only request to you , my friend is to treat people with respect. Take care and enjoy your stay at Chennai bro

I had a lot of trouble initially getting responses from this agency for renting their bikes. I had wanted a particular bike make and they had confirmed verbally 2 weeks before my ride that it was available. I waited for a quote from them for over 10 days and didnt get a response. Finally was told that the particular make was not available. Then I chose another make and was given a confirmation that it was available. The morning of my ride, I was told that the battery of the bike was dead and was asked to choose another bike - I reluctantly did so. The bike I received was in average condition and twenty minutes into my ride, the oil indicator lit up. Called the agency and the person came in about 45 minutes to check on it and said that I should ignore it. I was uncomfortable taking the bike on a long distance ride with the oil indicator lit up, but was left with no option. Fortunately, I did not face any issues during the ride despite the indicator being lit all the time. The bike handover process was smooth and they refunded any excess amount that I had paid including security deposit very quickly.

Yes sir. You may rent a relatively new Honda Shine 125cc and do a roadtrip across Chennai. I am not sure about taking the bike to Srilanka. You may rent a bike locally at Srilanka and come back to Chennai and rent a bike back from us. I used Chennai motorcycles and hired a royal enfield classic which broke down. They sent out a replacement. If you use them make sure the bike is serviced PROPERLY before you accept it. I think the limit was 100km per day, after that maybe 5r per km. Did about 1800km in 19 days in all.

We don't have 350cc standard.(as it doesn't have an electric start). We offer all other models of Enfield. Any 350cc Enfield ( Bullet Electra, Classic, Thunderbird, Thunderbird X) costs Rs.1400 a day plus 18% GST. There is a limit of 100km a day exceeding Rs.5 per km. Please carry your original license and at least one original identity proof. We have 7 branches across Chennai. You may also have the bike delivered at your location for Rs.150 extra. 150cc/ 160cc motorcycles such as Honda Unicorn, Honda Hornet, Yamaha Fazer, Yamaha FZS, Suzuki Gixxer, Suzuki Gixxer SF, Bajaj Pulsar, Bajaj Avenger, Hero Xtreme costs Rs.800 a day plus taxes (18%)

Any 110cc scooters such as Honda Activa or similar models cost Rs 500 a day. Plus 18% GST. You could have it delivered at your location for Rs.150 extra. We have 6 branches in Chennai.
