This is a rather underwhelming and unattractive bazaar in downtown Jaipur. The market wasn't as colorful as we expected and was mainly using locals who were surprised to see tourists strolling around.

All the colorful stuff which Rajasthan is famous for, you get all of that here at a reasonable price. In fact if you are willing to go through the crowded streets then you would land up at wholesale shopes which are slightly inside from main road, but the price, negotiations and deals are all worth for.

Tripoli Bazar is full of shops and street hawkers. There are small and big shops of fabric and jewelry.

Very colorful place to shop. Do not miss the Kulad lassi & kachoris that you get here in a Sardar Ji's shop while shopping.

Running throughout the heart of Jaipur is this lively street with its Tripolia Gate built in1734 and once the main entrance to City Palace. Today even though the traffic congestion, noise and exhaust may detract from the ambiance, the majesty of the architecture and the 18 th century town planning of the pink city deserves admiration. Walk along this avenue... More

Be ready to bargain, and walk away if you really don't love it. It was lots of fun to watch the street traffic (car, cows, people, camels, rickshaws, motorbike, elephants, etc... they had it all), while my friends bartered like crazy people. We got some good stuff!!

i pass through Tripolia bazaar almost everyday. and every time i feel that so many years ago and some one could plan so well. off course people have spoil t the traffic by encroachments, wrong and haphazard parking. but you can feel the glory of this market.

Sarees, textiles, carpets probably accounts for most of the shops here. You can see local women choosing myriad-coloured fabrics amidst shopkeepers asking you to see their wares, as you wade across the sea of people milling about. If you find something you like, bargain, then bargain again, and if you do not like the price, there will always be another... More
