We had a great time riding a classic Royal Enfield motorcycle in Rajasthan and taking part in the Holi Festival! Doing the trip with an Indian company meant that we saw more 'real' India than would have been likely otherwise.

Accommodation was in hotels that used to be forts, palaces or the houses of rich merchants. The bikes were the 500cc classic model and were well maintained. The group was followed by a car with mechanic and driver carrying luggage, spares and water for the stops during the day. Narendra, our guide, was in radio contact with the car so if anyone stopped or was too far behind he could change pace as needed.

Riding a bike in India takes a lot of concentration! You quickly learn to deal with animals and people, bikes, cars and trucks in places and doing things that you wouldn't expect at home. It's very involving and great fun.

At the end of the riding tour it was lovely to meet Narendra's family before heading off for the final couple of days sightseeing.

Many thanks to the Indian Rides team!

I completed a fair amount of research before I booked with Indian Rides. The Forts and Palaces tour of Rajasthan was simply fantastic! The route selected took us off the usual tourist trails and into the rural heart of the region, where locals were very happy to meet us. This was combined with some stunning historical and architectural destinations. Accommodation was carefully selected and of a high standard. The Royal Enfield Bullets were well maintained and cared for daily by an enthusiastic two-man support team. Our tour leader had a detailed knowledge of the region and is a passionate motorcyclist. The pace of the ride was perfect, with frequent Chai tea and water stops. The Indian Rides team have an eye for detail and I’m already considering dates for my next adventure with them.

We recently took a tour through Rajastan with India World Travel. We had a very good time. The driver was very good and knew every street in all the cities we visited. The hotels were also very good, two of them we especially liked were situated at old castles in small villages. The tour also included guided tours in the main cities.

Being a Rajasthani originally, we always wanted to visit Rajasthan, somehow it kept delaying, but finally in feb 2013 it could be possible all thanks to India World Travel. We visited jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and our ancestral village. After visiting Rajasthan we feel more proud to call ourselves Rajasthani, Everything there is so beautiful. Our driver and trip organizer were amazing, the most reliable and professional at the same time friendly and helpful. He knew all the places so well, where to stay, where to eat, even in the middle of our journey he would stop at amazing places for delicious snacks. This is one trip whose memories will linger in my mind for long…may be always. Thank you IWT for making this trip so special and memorable.

I went with two friends on the South India Spice Route Tour in October 2018. It was absolutely amazing. I was quite worried about the trip because our destination of Kerala had been severely flooded the previous month. In the end there was nothing to worry about. Narendra, Vinktesh, Dolat and Ram made sure we were always safe having checked the routes out and preparing diversions in case they were needed.
The itinerary of the trip can be found on their website but essentially goes down the Eastern coast of India from Chennai to Pondicherry and then across the southern plains of Tamil Nadu, up into the mountains and tea plantations of Kerala then down to the coast and lakes.
The sights i saw will stay with me forever and there is nothing like riding a motorbike through traffic in Indian cities. All the routes we rode had views of the real countryside and places of interest to visit.
Every night Narendra had picked a fantastic hotel for us to stay in. This was either for its luxury or historical interest. The food was delicious throughout the trip but you need to like curry if you are visiting India.
I can't recommend this trip enough.
We plan to go back and use the same company for one of their other trips next year.

We were 4 friends and had a limited number of days but lot many hot destinations to visit in Rajasthan, and when contacted to this agency, we were so happy and felt completely satisfied. The whole trip was organised so perfectly, that we did'nt had any question. We received a very personalized service and all our needs were taken care of. The whole itinerary was made in a way that maximum number of destinations were covered on a short span of time and we travelled in a very relaxing manner. I would always recommend the same agency to contact for travelling in India.:)

My Husband and I have recently returned from a vacation to Rajasthan India. We met our college aged son, who had spent the last five months studying in Jaipur, Udaipur and the Himalayan foothills. Our goal was to visit some of the areas where our son had traveled, to see some of the famous landmarks, such as the Taj Mahal and the numerous forts, monuments and palaces of the same time period and to soak up as much of the local culture and color as possible given our limited time frame. After contacting a number of Indian Tour groups on line we selected India World Travel and we were very glad that we did.

This is a small agency based in Jaipur, Rajasthan although they do arrange tours throughout the country. The owner and primary contact is Mr. Narenda Singh. He is passionate about introducing travelers to Indian culture and people which was particularly appealing to us. Unlike some of the other tour groups that we considered, he did not recommend any chain hotels. Most of the hotels that we stayed in had more domestic (Indian) tourists than American or European tourists. (As an aside, we saw very few American tourists, mostly English, French and German.) All but one of the hotels were exceedingly attractive, clean, well appointed and accommodating. (The hotel we stayed in in Udaipur was very attractive and had a good location but the water was iffy and the staff was not as gracious as at the other hotels. Hardly a crisis.) We researched all of the hotels in advance on trip advisor and in one instance we asked Mr. Singh to provide another alternative because of poor reviews.

Mr. Singh put together a full tour customized to our goals. He really encouraged us to get out of the cities and to experience small village life. He recommended a number of towns and hotels that were off of the beaten trail. Because of time constraints we were only able to stop at one (Castle Bijaipur) but it was one of the highlights of our trip. Mr. Singh arranged for us to have a single driver for all of our trip; also Mr. Singh, but no relation. As first time visitors I would definitely recommend traveling this way (versus taking trains or buses). I can only describe the traffic in India as insane and do not recommend renting your own vehicle for transportation. Also, navigating India can be overwhelming, so having a driver who knows where to stop for lunch, bank machines, etc. was great. In addition to arranging for accommodations and transportation (including one domestic plane ride) Mr. Singh arranged for tour guides at all cultural and historic sites, charted the entire vacation, recommended historic sights to visit, and recommended restaurants at our request. He was very accommodating and responsive to our stated desires.

If we travel in India again we will definitely contact India World Travel. We will also take Mr. Singh's advice and explore more of the off the beaten track locations. One aside, because India World Travel has a European office in France, a lot of the paperwork referenced Euros although we established our price in US Dollars. This was confusing to us at the last minute although there was no disagreement about the price. I just wished I had read the paperwork more carefully and clarified the final numbers sooner rather than later.

I dont think I can truly put into words the amazing experience my friends and I had during this trip. I was quite concerned before I went as to me it was a step into the unknown and out of my comfort zone. I have to say Narendra "Boss" and his three man team Venktess,Ram and Dolat were always on hand making sure the trip was as perfect as it could be whether it was during the days riding or arranging any evening entertainment. We rode the real India and nothing was hidden from us. A genuine cultural experience. The 500cc Royal Enfields were professionaly maintained throughout the journey and were the perfect bike to be on. Fast enough for a buzz and easy enough to handle when the going gets rough. The experience of riding with the Indian traffic was exhilarating and has to be tried.
Its all about the horn!
The distance travelled each day was about right due to the heat. Hot, but not over powering. Anyway there was always the swimming pool at most of the hotels to cool off in. The accommodation was also on the whole very good. The locations and types of hotels used varied from modern to wealthy merchant house elegance.
We found the Indian people we encountered to be incredibly friendly and always quick to beam you the biggest smile especially the children when you engaged and interacted with them.
If like me you have toured the Alps and Scotland many times and your trips have become a repeat of last time perhaps its time to try an Indian Ride........you will not regret the move.

What an experience. Having visited India before we wanted to explore a bit further. We chose Indian Rides Tour of Rajastan based on the circuit planned, feedback from others and the professional and courteous service we received from Naren and Gopika during the planning process. Throughout the entire trip the service we received from Naren and his team was exceptional, the chosen route was a perfect mix of countryside, villages, towns, and so much more. Bikes were perfect for the terrain and maintained to the highest standard by our designated mechanic. Exceptional!
