A very pleasant moment
Oct 2019 • Couples
At the end of our visit of Amber Fort, we have discovered this Modern Art Gallery .We stepped in and were immediately caught by the beauty and the originality of many paintings. No doubt the artists we could admire have a real talent. Moreover, Mr Tanzeem Haider, the manager, commented every painting for us so as we could understand better the point of view of the artists. It was a great moment thanks to MrT.Haider, a very nice man, very well educated and who can speak a quite good English. We highly recommend this gallery. We exchanged informations so as we can make this beautiful place widely known to the public.

Gallery Artchill - Definitely worth a visit!
Jan 2019
We were on a private tour in Jaipur, visiting the Amber Palace when we came across the Gallery. It is definitely a great place to relax and have a look at some of the contemporary Art from the area. We were very happy to be shown around, in a very welcoming and relaxed way. Sangeeta was a great host and we found a piece that we really liked. We retrospectively decided to purchase the artwork and Sangeeta couldn't have been more helpful, facilitating shipping and easy payment from overseas. The painting arrived, beautifully packed within 3-days arriving even before our payment had gone out! Such a great service and a wonderful reminder of our visit. I would thoroughly recommend a visit if you get the chance....

Amazing underground art with deep traditional inspirations
Jan 2019 • Friends
Coming out of the Amber Fort, we went in by accident and spent more time in there than at the fort. Almost each and every painting/artwork/sculpture has something interesting and worthy of attention – experimental work blends perfectly with (challenging) traditions, to offer more groundbreaking work than I've seen in the best museums in Europe.

Highly recommended.

Wonderful Private Art Gallery
Jan 2019
We had an unexpected time away from the hustle and bustle of the sprawling crowds visiting the fort.
This is a cozy and wonderful Private Art Gallery near the exit of the fort they present amazing local emerging artists works.
Akash Choyal was our favorite artist.
Thank you to the very helpful and friendly staff at the gallery and
Director Sangeeta for their professional and efficent assistance.

We went to check it out after the Amer fort visit and it was a very nice place with beautiful artworks.
Staff was very polite and friendly, we didn't have the feeling that they wanted to sell us things like they normally do in India.

Prices were honest and amazing work!

Highly reccomened!

Beautiful art; but read one of the reviews that says not everyone was allowed into the gallery
Feb 2018 • Friends
Upon leaving the Amber Fort, you'll see the gallery on the right. Up a few steps and you're there. The gallery had some very interesting newish pieces, but their jewels are not for sale and are held privately. P. N. Choyal has several wonderful drawing/paintings that are worth seeing, but he is a highly recognized and prized Indian artist and the gallery owns these. The staff was pleasant while we were there, but I was very hurt and disappointed that at least that person wasn't permitted entry, implying some colonialist or racist behavior.

Art of conning
Mar 2018 • Solo
This colonial minded white worshipping racist art gallery does not understand the meaning of a gallery and a shop. They moodily allow some ppl in while to others say that it is private shop not for you. Go if you want to be humiliated. It is all commerce and know nothing of art except dollars and pounds. Art of conning foreigners indeed.

Amazing contemporary Indian art!
Feb 2018 • Solo
This gallery displays a range of mediums (paintings, graphic art, drawings, etc.) with different styles. The blend of their museum collection with the contemporary display was good. Being a backpacker on a budget, I was happy to pick up a painting, done in the traditional, miniature style on antique paper for less than 20 dollars! Although it was one of their lower cost pieces, I appreciate the display of work for all budgets. The way they protected it for me, allowed me to bring it home safely. I didn't feel pressured to buy and stepping into the air conditioning, was an added bonus. I wish I had known I didn't have to pay admission for the fort, just to see the gallery.

Truly wonderful creative surprise
Oct 2017 • Couples
Having just finished an exciting, if hot, trip around Amber Fort we were on our way out and, by chance, noticed the modestly signed museum gallery: Artchill. I would guess that most tourists might walk by: another shop? more hassle to buy? But unable to resist the potential of local art and we wandered in expecting nothing in particular and receiving such a reward! In a nicely designed little gallery was the cream of Indian contemporary art; artist renowned not only in India but exhibiting around the world. The gallery itself was cool and a respite from the relentless heat of Jaipur; the paintings and sculpture not just interesting but truly exhilarating, leaving one wondering how could you possibly not be aware of the great talent of art being generated in this traditional, but creatively blossoming nation. This is really world-class art with some wonderful tri-dimensional pictures (3D art but not sculptures!), almost holographic but with so much more complexity; paintings that become furniture; as well as the more traditional 2 and 3-dimensional art forms. With curators that were happy to discuss and inform just because they are truly committed to Indian art and its promotion round the globe. Please look out for this gallery, it is a truly wonderful find!
