Can enjoy the views while driving past it. Nothing much to get down and explore. Lit up nicely at night.

Gorgeous as a palace and the story behind it is lovely. Because the ownership of this place is in dispute between the royal family and the government, the park around it is pretty run down. We had to carefully take pictures around the massive piles of trash that prevent you from getting close to the lake. Hopefully the Clean India... More

Hawa Mahal is must see if you are visiting Jaipur. The englist translation of Hawa Mahal is Palace of wind. This beautiful palace was build in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

We only saw it from the outside. Our guide said it wasn't overly worth entering as you can imagine the views from it from outside... and you can see the back of it from the city Palace (which is a must). But it is quite beautiful from the outside. The history is covered in the Palace.

We drove by this old Palace while driving through the Old City. It is right on the main street. There is nothing to do here except drive or walk by and take some photos. It is basically a high screen wall build so that women of the royal household could observe street festivals and other activities while unseen from the... More

It's located inside the old city and near the palace. We didn't enter, because what is interesting is the outside. Only to take a pictures and go.

Though most people just look at the facade and think that's enough, one must really visit the actual palace as well.. it is an architectural masterpiece.. you can see the laws of physics at work here.. transforming the hot desert air via a natural air cooling system.. definitely worth a visit..
