About
Elefantastic Elephant Sanctuary, a unique conservation project set in Jaipur, Rajasthan has been in operation since in the 2000's with a goal to provide a sanctuary and elephant rehabilitation center. Mission: To protect and conserve elephants in a natural environment and to provide a healthy and fruitful life for all those creatures under our care. The rehabilitation center is owned and managed by a former Elephant Rider (Rahul) and focuses on healthcare and breeding management. Although Rehabilitation Center was established in 2012, my family involvement with elephants dates to over four generations; before the Rehabilitation Center materialized, As I pondered about the possibilities, I realized that I want to give people an insight into the lives of Asian elephants. There are vast misconceptions across India that animals - especially elephants – are badly mistreated. I decided that I wanted to eradicate these misconceptions. This decision inspired me to start The Elefantastic.

What an elefantastic experience! We worked with Rahaul to plan our elephant sanctuary visit and entire Golden Triangle trip around India. I attribute our trip’s success to Elefantastic.
From the moment our plane arrived at 2:00 AM, our driver Rajesh was waiting to pick us up from the airport. He dropped us off at a nice hotel, and we agreed upon the time to start touring the next day. Rajesh is the best: he had cold bottled waters from national brands waiting in the car for us each day and answered any questions we had. If we didn’t have time to eat breakfast, he would stop for a quick snack that’s safe for us to eat along the way. It can be hard traveling in a new country for the first time, and the entire elefantastic staff made us feel right at home. From promptly answering questions leading up/during our trip, offering local expertise within each city regarding monuments, places to eat, shop, etc. it was truly relaxing that everyone else had our itinerary and key times while we only needed to know a few of the actual details the day of. Even with a few changes to our trip stays since we were attending a wedding, Rahaul was so flexible, patient, and accommodating.
Our stay at elefantastic was honestly a magical, memorable experience. We hung out with the elephants in the afternoon: feeding, painting, bath, walk, and had a two night sleepover. If you are an animal and/or elephant lover, I HIGHLY recommend the overnight experience. The entire elefantastic staff was so hospitable and welcoming. Never is there an opportunity to share a meal with an elephant, say good morning/goodnight, etc., making our visit truly elefantastic!

A very moving and enjoyable day with Billie the elephant and the excellent team at Elefantastic. From arrainging the day over Whatsapp, through to being picked up in quality vehicles, and being fed an excellent lunch in an Indian home, the whole day was well thought through.
Of course, all of this was just the wrapping around spending 2 full hours with Billie, talking to her, hugging her, and enjoying her gargantuan company.
If you want to get up close an personal with one of these lolvely creatures, whilst contributing to a responsible and decent way of caring for them, this is the way to do it.

We had heard about Elefantastic from friends in the United States who said it was a “must do” experience when in Jaipur. We are so glad we listened to them. Being up close to these amazing animals was an incredible thing and being able to spend so much time with them was amazing. These elephants are so loved and well cared for. Thank you for doing what you do and respecting these majestic creatures.

This place is amazing and the people also. Really friendly. I had the best experience and would strongly recommend anyone to come here, great views.
Be careful if you decide to go to elephant village as that is a tourist trap, they take you there so the person working there and your tuk tuk driver can get commission. Very little will go to the elephant .

We would like to visit Elefantastic on the 11 January. We are staying at the Umaid Bhawan Heritage Hotel. Can we book a day there with pick up/drop off?

Hi Samantha. Coincidentally, we stayed at the Umaid Bhawan Heritage Hotel this past summer, and visited Elefantastic. To answer your question - yes, the Elefantastic driver picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the end of our visit. You’ll enjoy the hotel (the rooftop restaurant is very good), and the Elefantastic experience is amazing!
Have fun....and Happy New Year!

You should book it a few hours or days in advance. I think, the owner only allows a certain number of visits a day. He had space for me that afternoon. Enjoy!! It's a once in a lifetime experience! I reached out to him on Facebook.
