This place is situated around 30-45 mins from center of Jaipur. The attraction at this place is the huge number of monkeys. So, if you are a foreign traveller who would love to see monkeys then go ahead and check this place out. And do carry some bananas with you. As an Indian traveller, though very peaceful and located next... More

I have been to Galtaji several times and every time I get a monkey minder. This is an ancient Hindu holy site and monkeys are the bosses here. Since I have seen run-ins with tourists and monkeys elsewhere I always hire a monkey guide. Just a guy to walk with you that has monkey whisperer skills so that when Im... More

The little stairs going up the different levels are fun to experience, and the bathing ceremonies... More

Well this is not a single temple but a complex of temples, 2 holy ponds (one for gents and one for ladies) and an old sun temple. Hindus come here as it is one of the those several sites (pilgrimage or teerth) that a hindu is expected to visit. Foreigners visit this place to see belief of Hindus 'in action',... More

1st thing 1st. Beware of monkeys but come here to see monkeys, confused? Well don't be. Our guide told us there is a Hindu temple which is popular for monkeys. So we drove here. After reaching we were quite surprised to see such a beautiful place and were also scared due to the presence of lots of monkeys. But as... More
