The tour was cancelled. No email or phone call was received to notify us of this and we wasted a considerable amount of time and money travelling to the meeting point.

Guide did not show up, while we already paid

We paid for the tour in advance but the guide did not show up, also afterwards not reachable in any way (even though he/she seems to have received our WhatsApp messages and calls). Still did not get our money back. We planned our day around this tour, so very disappointing…

This happened September 16th.

0 - The tour guide never turned up, we waited at the meeting point for 30 minutes, contacted him via the TripAdvisor app and he has made no attempt to contact us. Very disappointing as we only had one free day in the city & we missed out on doing other things because of this muck around.

Would give it six stars if I could!
Couldn’t fault this amazing & authentic insight in to the food & culture of Jaipur, our guide was engaging, interesting and funny while taking us to places we’d never have thought of to try foods we didn’t even know existed.

No matter who you are visiting Jaipur, even if you’re the tiniest bit adventurous, I would strongly recommend adding this trip to your itinerary.

Not just a food tour(it's basically well informative tour to know the culture more deeply)

If I have to summerise it, it's totally worth it. The amount and variety of food is enough to fill your stomach for even next day. Food places visited was hygienic and authentic. The best part is I could not have gone to all the places by my self even after all the research I have put into exploring jaipur food scene. They start with snacks and end with desserts and an amazing view of old city. There is a lot of historical stories about the food as well which makes it fun as well. If you are a foodie, then this tour is definately a thing to do in Jaipur. Shreyas is amazing tour guide.

An outstanding experience - You have to do it

We booked the night food tour as part of our holiday itinerary. We did not know what to expect but it was a real WOW. Our guide was enthusiastic, energetic and took care to listen to what we liked and did not like.
We visited about eight food providers including many 'famous' stalls. We ate in back streets that we would not have usually entered and ate food we would not have had the confidence to try without the reassurance of our excellent guide.
As we moved around the city between food vendors we were introduced to a new 'sport' - crossing Jaipur's busy and chaotic roads. Here again we would not have tried this without the assistance of our guide.
This really is a must do - you will not be disappointed.

You have to try this food tour when in Jaipur!

Trying the street food in Jaipur is a must when visiting. Booking this guided tour made the whole experience easy and Shreya is a trustworthy and knowledgeable person when it come to where to go, what to eat, what was in the food, and explaining the relation between the country and why this became a local street food. It was easy to meet up at the cinema, and we were helped back to our accommodation. The food was of course amazing and I liked how the tour was set up to visit the small local places. I would have never found this on my own, and I am so happy I got to experience this! thank you to the backpack India tema for setting up this tour!

Food tour
Definitely worth every penny! Our guide was amazing. His story telling was engaging, full of facts and he made it so much fun. As a solo I also felt at ease as he was very friendly, very personable and make sure to speak to every single person during the walks in between. You do walk quite a bit so I would suggest wearing trainers.

Educational and incredible!
I did this tour when I was staying in Jaipur and I LOVED IT!
It was such an informative and educational tour that explored the history of the Pink City and Jaipur. I learned so many incredible facts and saw some amazing things that I wouldn’t have experienced without going on the tour.

Shrey (the tour guide) had such a wealth of knowledge of the city and could answer every question I had on the tour. The guides were friendly and helpful and really made the experience incredible.

I highly recommend doing this tour if you want to see the city from a local and historic point of view!!

Amazing food tour! Ajay is a fun knowledgeable host who kept us engrossed with interesting facts and stories about old jaipur. The tour began at golchi cinema and covered all the famous Jaipuri Street food. The food was delicious and the overall experience was incredible.
