My friends and I have had a great time cooking with Monty and Hashita! The classes are very well run with lots of local colour and interesting facts and tips. It really is a great way to get away without going anywhere, it feels like we are guests at Monty and Hashita's house and we get to have a fantastic meal afterwards! My friends and I have found it a great way to connect over something we all love ...food! In a time when we can't go far this has been a welcome get away! Thank you :)

Seeing the process from carving the blocks to the final designs was intriguing. I have a small amount of knowledge regarding fabric printing from back at home from my studies but seeing the process here in Jaipur was amazing. The detail put into the wooden hand blocks by the craftsmen who have no training, they just create from what they see and is already made is astonishing. After seeing the blocks being carved we went to the workshop, where on each floor long lengths of fabric were being printed and dried. After seeing the large scale process I was invited to have a go at a repeated single flower design in the washroom area of the workshop. It was great to try my hand at the precision

I was accompanied by Ballu who showed me around the market area, as I wanted to take a lot of photos we arranged a meeting area and met after 15 minutes of me exploring by myself. It was so interesting seeing the farmers and their wives carrying massive bags of flowers and produce to their respective areas and setting up for trade. Seeing the colours of the flowers and vegetables against the morning sunrise was a beautiful sight and I'm glad I got to experience this hidden gem during my visit to Jaipur.

What an experience! The food was delicious and everyone was very friendly and inclusive, sharing stories and cultures with beautiful humans over food was such a delight and anyone would be lucky to spend time cooking with the Ultimate Urban Adventures family! Thank you Monty, Harshita and Ballu for your knowledge and hospitality!

A must see opportunity to see the local flowers at the market is indeed a hidden gem in Jaipur. Along with a great guide, I was mesmerised by the colours and variety on show. What a great way to delve into Rajasthan’s culture and cuisine by immersing yourself in the fruits and vegetables on display. A true photographer’s delight awaits you if you go on this tour. One tip: be early as this is certainly not one to be missed.
