Family
The Pink City Cooking Class was one of our favourite experiences in India. The family who run this class are so lovely and make you feel like part of their family in their home. We made 8 dishes/items and they were delicious. We took our 2 children along (ages 6 and 8) expecting they may not find it so interesting it but they absolutely loved it and the hosts were so wonderful with them. I can 100 percent recommend this cooking class in Jaipur!

The class was well structured and instructions easy to follow. There were 8 things I was taught to cook including masala chai, dahl and chapati. One of the teacher's children help to translate, I met most of the family and they were all very friendly. Everything was very clean. They pass on the profit of the class to local charities. Food tasted great!

Wow. What an absolutely incredible experience. This family business run cooking class was one of the best things I have ever done and would highly recommend anyone visiting Jaipur to try The Pink City Cooking Class. The amazing warm welcome from the Sharma family was so nice and instantly fills you with such positive vibes. They then took me into dining room and kitchen to begin the process of cooking. I had put a special request before arriving about wanting to learn how to cook Aloo Palak (spinach and potato) and wow they absolutely nailed it and showed me step by step how to make the perfect Aloo Palak (I just hope i can make it taste as good back in the UK without their lovely guidance!) Not only Aloo Palak but they showed me how to make a variety of different Indian dishes step-by-step, everything fresh and made right in front of you. I even had the honour of learning Dimple’s secret recipe for some of her homemade spices. What a treat! Step-by-step they guided me through the process of making each dish from aloo palak, dal, paneer, salad, rice and even how to make chapati all from scratch! I can confidently say I know how to make these different dishes now as learning by doing is always a great way for it to stick in the mind. Plus they do send you a list of all the recipes and instructions of each meal if you get stuck. Such a helpful and friendly family. The next time I visit Jaipur this will be the first place I go. What a truly awesome experience🙏

We were so happy to visit Dimple and her daughter. Very very friendly, humble and hospitable family. We learned how to make chai tea, dhal, chapati, paneer and ladyfinger. We can only give them our best recommendations. If you are nearby, plan a visit😃

This cooking class exceeded all our expectations. The food that you cook is amazing and even though we did the class today, I already cannot wait to cook all the food again at home for my friends. However, even though the food was mouthwatering good, the food isn’t even the best thing. The best thing about this cooking class, is the family that runs it. Such caring, loving, kind and fun people. We just got home and I’m writing this review right away just because I don’t want to wait a second with thanking them for the great time. Father as friendly, interested host, mother as energised, smiling chef and daughter as very engaged and sweet translator. Also an aunt came by who joined the company, to underline the feeling of being part of this family. As cherry on the pie (understatement) they took us to a celebration in the days before holi, put me in a saree and we had the most incredible time together. They took care of us in a way that you can never expect.

It was the most personal workshop and definitely most personal cooking class I ever did, and the fact I am absolutely sure I will make all dishes at home by myself feels like a bonus.

It will not surprise you, if you took the time to read this complete review, that I absolutely recommend this experience. This family deserves staying the #1 workshop in Jaipur.
