    Electric Rickshaw Ride
Bibi, our female driver collected us from the hotel and set off on passed the Girls High school to our first stop at one of the City’s gates , then on to the Central Museum where there were wedding couples been photographed. From there we stopped at a roadside cafe for Chai. Hawa Mahal, & wholesale flower market also visited. Tour can be extended to include whatever one wants.

Meet Jaipur artists. Small business by women drivers. Ride in electric tuk tuks!
One of the best must-see experiences in Jaipur for art and craft lovers. Mind blowing to witness the skills of artists we visited. Saw carpet weaving, textile block printing, blue pottery making, and miniature art. We skipped bangle making, unfortunately, as we were tired. I would skip the turban making stop if we could do this ride over again. The lady drivers were very careful with their driving and very courteous. They let us explore on our own for a bit and waited while we went shopping as well. They took us to a good place for lunch with traditional Rajasthani thali which we really enjoyed.

Women drivers making an unusual experience unique.
There were three of us and so two rickshaws but our lady was definitely in charge. She drove us through Jaipur’s terrifying traffic with huge aplomb and considerable vigour. She was brilliant with enough English for a simple conversation. She took us around the city grid and then to a street chai stall for refreshment. The chai-maker- a really skilled chap, clearly doing a roaring trade with locals, proudly displayed a recent photo of Modi and Macron drinking his chai in the road. Then she took us to the flower market: the most colouful place we visited in a supremely colourful country. She escorted us through purposefully and was also a protective presence, clearly no-one messed with her. The company was set up to provide work for women and currently has 13 drivers. We saw no other female rickshaw drivers in India so this must be a pioneering enterprise. It provides a great service too and deserves lots of customers. A real highlight of our trip.

    Amazing rickshaw ride in Jaipur
Amazing rickshaw ride through Jaipur with fun experiences of having chai from a street vendor. The ladies were so kind and friendly. We loved the flower market. So happy to support such a great endeavor helping low income women become independent!

What a super way to introduce you to Jaipur and make a difference to the women in the local community.

Would highly recommend doing this trip and taking in the sights in a fun and embracing way. Gives you a great idea of how the city is laid out and you get some local knowledge to.

We did a tour at about 4.30 for just under 1.5 hrs with the wonderful Renu. We laughed lots and she was very engaging.
