We didn't have any fun at the sound and light show. Tickets were very expensive and we got nothing to see. There was just sound and the lighting was on on the amer fort. absolutely money waste.

Dont waste time and money on going to this show. Lights on the same places and not enough content. Golconda fort (Hyderabad) show this a hundred times better.

This can be avoided if you are not much interested in history which is not correct. Prices are too high for this kind of show.

The show could have been much better but fails to impress with the current format. It is not worth the money spent. Please think twice before going for the show. The only positive side to it may be the story narrated and the clarity of concepts!

First of all it is majorly sound show...you see some lights on and off to project movement but nothing impressive. 250 rs wasted in listening a story which you may not have heard in your history books. It would have been great if it was a sound and laser show and some very interesting story and facts from the history.

Save your money and time.

The Amber Fort Light & Sound Show is a good way to grasp the history of the Kachwaha Rajput royalty, & understand it in relation to the Mughals. The Rajput royals' lifestyle, story & tradition is enamoring.

The narration is good; the lighting average. In the winter months, it can get really cold to sit in the open; so ensure you wear enough warm clothes. There is no parking around the amphitheater; you have to park in the main lot & then either walk or take a gypsy ride for a fee.

We have a large van with a driver, and we could park at the lower level. We paid for a round trip in a jeep from the parking up to the entrance of the fort. You can opt to walk, but it’s a brisk 10-15 walk up an incline. Not exactly ideal for those who have trouble walking, plus, it is shared by harrowing traffic going up and down from the fort.

There was a concession stand at the parking lot. We did not partake. There are warning signs for crocodile in the lake, so I don’t suggest taking a shortcut or a swim, as it would be your last.

Waiting in line like a group of livestock and dashing up three flights of stairs is not for the faint of heart or the out of shape. There is just a huge crowd of people in no lines or organized fashion, whatsoever. Kind of like the traffic on a typical Delhi road or Jaipur Roundabout. There was a group of 8 self centered people who rushed beyond the chains, and many were sent back down behind the lines. I didn’t understand what made them think they were all that special. The crowd kind of jeered and hissed and then returned to their normal hum of chatter.

If you must attend, don’t worry about the crowds, you can see the lights from anywhere in the seated area. I don’t know the capacity but I’d estimate somewhere around 400 people.

We went in December, and it was chilly. With the wind, it was even a bit colder.

The narration is done by the great Amitabh Bacchan, one of the greatest Indian actors from the Silver Screen of Bollywood. The music excerpts truly accentuate the times of the events in the narration.

Concessions were available in the lobby but we did not partake.

However, the “Light show” was a disappointment. With the narration a building or section of the fort, or parts of the wall, lit up by some exterior and interior lights. Having gone to real light shows, as the Swaminarayan Temple in New Delhi, this was a MAJOR disappointment. I felt like dozing off but I got very chilly with the gusts of wind. This light show technology is probably 30 years old. It is in need of a major update. That’s too bad, Given the romance of Jaipur and Rajasthan in its grandeur over the course of history.

The only saving grace of the evening, which was a disappointment, was that we could see many of the constellations this evening. The pollution index was low, and there were no clouds in the sky.

After the show, we saw a chaotic dance of people rushing to get out, cars dropping off people and people trying to secure a ride in various modes of transportation. The situation was impressive. With all of the chaos of traffic, honking, and impatient people, the system of the narrow road and people rushing up/down the road back to parking seemed to work.

Overall, the “Light show” was a major disappointment. The visit to the fort grounds and seeing the panoramic views was good.

Show itself is quite interesting but organisation is below standard. No queue system for entry to the venue. Bottle neck doors. No emergency exits. No security. Audience use cameras to film or take pictures during the show inspite of an announcement. Noisy crowd talking loud and eating noisily during the show.
Not safe for elderly people and not for physically handicapped people.

It was nothing more than story telling and slightly using different coloured lights, we just left it inbetween. Hindi one is slightly intresting for those who wish to listen to a tale by Amitabh Bachchan by paying vrs 250/
