I went there without getting into any reviews as we were in hurry.
There is just a hype created that this is a great place.

We spent 1 hour from WTC in Jaipur to reach the show.
The tickets are Rs. 250 per person so thought the show would be really great.

But was totally disappointing. Content and effects are not good.
This is not worth spending so much of money.

We can instead spend time and money on some other activities.

The show could have been much better but fails to impress with the current format. It is not worth the money spent. Please think twice before going for the show. The only positive side to it may be the story narrated and the clarity of concepts!

Seriously would have been quite good if we were in the 1980s. Heavily narrated and ultimately boring account of history. When it says light show it literally means lights will go on and off at different points. Sound has potential. Went to this even after reading poor reviews thinking, ‘we’ll were hear we should see it’- and the fort is an amazing back drop. There is so much potential here for projections etc. but sadly lacking anything ‘modern’. 250 inr is cheap when compared to home (and fair enough because it’s a cheap production) but in India can do so much more with the money and time.

The sound and light show was quite entertaining. The queue for it before it opened was very long and in the dark due to a power cut which couldn’t be helped; but it was organised chaos.

The temperature dropped and I was glad of my fleece.

There were some inconsiderate audience members talking over the commentary which made it hard to follow.

Some of the music and singing was stunning.

Quite a nice way to spend an evening.

I should have listened to the reviews!!
Extremely poorly done- please don't waste your time, energy and money The only reason the concerned people will work on improving the content, is if people stop going for the show.

It has probably been around for decades.

We went for the English version- I am sure the Hini one will not be any better.
What makes it sad it that it has so much potential in terms of the venue and its history behind it.

Only way is to stop going for it, otherwise it will go on for a few more decades. What more can be said??

They have a great location for the sound and light show but it's boring . It lacks good story telling , sound affects and light according to the high tech times we are in . Lot of changes required before they start calling people and charging for the show .

We attended Hindi show and it was worth visiting here. It covers complete history of fort with just lights n sound. The fort looks amazing with those different lights. If you are not very big fan of history then you might get bored. But otherwise you will surely enjoy it. Do visit Hindi show instead of English. Because the language and songs gives feeling of Rajasthan and it's thoroughly awesome and engaging. If you are planning to visit then please check the timings as there are different timings during different season. Like we visited in August and at that time show timings were 7.30 for English and 8.30 for hindi. During winter I guess it is like 6.30 for English and 7.30 for hindi. So just check timings and plan accordingly. One important thing is entry to this show is not at the fort's entrance. On the way to fort from Jaipur there is one left just before fort. Just take that left for light and sound show. There is also one board showing the same. And if you are visiting then then make sure you have already hired cab or rikshaw for returning back. Because while returning back no cabwala or rikshaw comes inside and you need to go till main road by walking. We faced the same issue and it was really bad experience while going back because local crowd here is not so good and we were like 4 girls waiting for cabs n rikshaw at around 10.15 . Every passing guy was giving unwanted comments on us. That too in front of police. So yeah your safety is in your hands so make sure you have something already hired for going back.

Visit date : 17th June 2018
Time : English Show 7:30-8:30pm; reached there by 6:45pm, but not allowed to have seat before 7:47pm, as there was sun-light outside. Although we purchased our ticket at 6:45pm, but no accommodation for sitting in the waiting area. All of us (me with my wife and other visitors like about 35-40) where standing over there including senior citizen and visitors from outside India as well.

Ticket Price : 250/- each.
This includes only for the 40min show. NO beverages/ No snacks nothing being offered in this. Where we have already experienced such shows with minimum offering of Tea-Coockies and cultural programs in West Bengal Jungle Safaris.

Content of the show : By recommended by many of local friends we expected a lot from the show. But got disappointed. Due to:
- 1. No synchronization of between light and sound. Its only story telling and few bulbs with different colours continuously being off and on. At times it becomes so irritating that we have closed our eyes to concentrate only in the narration.
- 2. In the era of 2018, we expect much more advanced technology while paying 250/-. Such like laser-integrated or 3-d graphics. If this is not possible, at least arrange the lights to guide eyes with respect to the narration.
- 3. Not an single out-of the box experience to recommend others for this show to make memorable.
- 4. Over priced.

Management : Horrible!!!
- We 40-45 visitors got attacked by a group of big-sized monkeys while the show was going on.
- No security guards where there to take care
- Aged persons falling on grounds here and there, no lights at sitting area was being put on
- What an attitude!! reception staff at ticket counter shows no mercy to us.
- No first aid being provided
- No refund of money (for the half of the show at least) given
- Overall, there was no empathy shown towards the visitors.

General:
1. Untidy washrooms
2. Miss-management : Once we reached at 6:45pm, and the show was to start at 7:30pm (although started at 7:55pm), if we want to take our car to surrounding areas, we need to pay parking fee once again.

Authority should take a little concern on all these operational issues.

Thanks.

This show starts at 7 pm and it is very well organised, with narrations both in Hindi and English. Nice history reap of Rajasthan and Jaipur. Light design is really superb. You don't need to really book the expensive package of light show and dinner. You can have dinner later. Best this would be to see light show and then see the fort at night. Fort open in night as well. It was really eye catching show.

After reviewing many sites with different times for the light show, including the official site which listed a showtime for October and another for Oct 1-10, I decided to call to ensure we had the right time. I was told the English version starts at 7:30 PM. We made our way there for 7 PM only to find out that the show started at 6:30 PM.

In addition, you get dropped off in the parking lot, about 500m from the door unless you pay 40 rupees for the car for "parking" which is really a front for letting the car pass and drop off in front of the door. The alternative is pay 200 rupees for a jeep to drive the 400m or walk in pitch dark. The whole thing felt very much like a rip off.

One recommendation if you are still going to see the show: don't hesitate to walk in the dark. Turn on your flashlight on your phone and plow on. There is a little sidewalk and with the light emitted, it is enough to feel comfortable walking to the door. Take some bug repellent with you!!
