Hind Mata Cloth Market has a great collection of cloth materials of all kinds and budget. It is also a great place for everyday shopping of clothes. The prices are very reasonable and one can strike a great deal especially if buying in bulk.

If you are finding bulk T-shirts for reselling purpose then dadar sells only average quality. FOR TOP QUALITY Google DC GRANDSON at juhu scheme mumbai instead as they provide best t-shirts in bulk in mumbai.

Bought a lehenga for Rs. 28000 from Hindmata Cloth Shop. However, during delivery it was damaged as hell & when we complained to them they said such things happens during finishing and storing it & asked us to go to a dry cleaning shop.
Also we found the same lehenga of Rs. 28000 in Local Shop for Rs. 11,000
Please avoid this place & shop at any cost they are cheaters and you will not get good quality matterial even after spending so much cash.

I personally do not encourage to buy saree from dadar wholesale market, better to buy from local shop.
Reasons:
1) They do not sale in wholesale price.Don't be confused if shop is wholesale and you would get in wholesale price, they sale in retail price.
2) If you want to go with family by hiring car, and have lunch and I'm sure you will have dinner also because you would have no energy to come home and make dinner. So you would have more expenses.
3) They will throw all the saree in front of you which are not selected piece and you have to choose best one among all the saree and it will take time. And one wholesale shop will have similar kind of saree. So if you are not liking better to move another shop if you go there any how.And lot more reasons.
you can experience if you go there. We can get same saree in better or same price in local shop and all will be selected saree. We brought lahanga from dadar in 4000Rs and same piece we found in 1900Rs in local market in Mumbai only.
And we bought it from wholesale shop.
So don't waste your time and efforts buy from local shop.

I took my aunts for Saree shopping here based on recommendations from friends. On a saturday morning, we had breakfast at Ram-shray and took a kali-peeli to hind mata. Its a one km long street from the dadar station at north to Hindmata flyover at south, mainly for Sarees. There are more than 100 stores, small and big offering wide variety of Sarees. Most of the shops were opening for the day's business as we reached around 10:30 am. There are lots of small stores, which mainly caters to other retailers who buy whole sale. They might not give you the attention you need if you are there for street side bargain shopping. The most famous shops in the street are , BharatKshetra and Artview as per my friends, and we decided to check out both. BharatKshetra is a huge fancy place at the center of the street with 3 shops catering to different segments. They cater mainly to rich affluent class and is likely to be rude with you if they feel that you are not ready to spend around 5-10k. Artview is a smaller but good place with a small front facade, with large collections. There are few more shops that are good. You can distinguish the fancier ones from the ordinary ones by seeing if you can see a person with bags standing in front of the store to keep your footwear against a token.! Overall, a good experience for anyone who wants to spend saree shopping in Mumbai.

There is a shop named Poojan Sarees which sells sarees on fixed but resonable rate. I highly recommend this shop. There is another shop named Kohinoor sarees, the behaviour of their staff is excessively rude, they don't even have variety and they will force you to buy their stuff telling you that the one that is not available their will not be available anywhere in the whole market. Please don't visit this shop. Please visit Poojan Sarees for resonable rate.

I went to Hindmata Cloth Market (HCM) on Sunday 17 December 2017 (Sunday), by air-cond taxi from Seven Hills Hospital (SHH) Andheri. The taxi man refused to turn on the meter and I paid INR500 for the trip. My friends who went to HCM by non air-cond taxi paid only INR300 (using meter). Going back by commuter train from Dadar Train Station to Andheri Train Station (ATS) only cost INR10. So much cheaper! I took auto rickshaw from ATS to SHH; by meter, it costs INR78 only.

For those who are not familiar with the commuter train in Mumbai, it looked daunting at first, just to buy the train ticket and to find out which train to board and at which platform. You only need to open your mouth and ask. Mumbai people are friendly and many can speak English. I was helped by a young girl with that. She even helped me to secure a seat on board of the train. And since i went on a Sunday, the train was not crowded. I boarded the women only coach there.

HCM is heaven for saree lover. There are a lot of choice and since it is a wholesale market, the price is fixed and its quite reasonable. I bought a few sarees there, two lehenga and two petty coats (each petty coat costs INR120 only).

If you are hungry, there are a lot of nice looking street foods to try. But i played safe and had just drinks from one of the restaurant there.

It was just a short outing for me and i hope to go there again soon. I love HCM!
