The temple is in Jogeshwari in Mumbai, and it is much smaller than Elephanta or Kanheri Caves. It is also not much visited by tourists. But if you are nearby and able to visit, it is worth visiting. It is free to enter. Some of the statues and carvings are much damaged by time, water, and vandalism, but some of the statues are still well preserved and it is a good place to visit.

Jogeshwari caves are ancient buddhist stuctures carved around 1500 years ago. They are located in middle of slum dwellings with entrance from busy street. Most of the intererior has been destroyed. The rest has been encroached with several recent shrines. When I visited several religious rituals including what appeared to be a wedding and a puja were underway. Still worth spending 30 mins if you are in the vicinity.

It's located in busy streets of Mumbai. Not difficult to walk to the site. Neat and clean roads. Can stop over for nice cup of tea and homely Maharashtrian breakfast on way or out. Major cave is huge with Big support pillars, it's dark inside with ganpati temple in center. Out of it's one of the doors you can see budha sculpture , still preserved well over the years. There are 2-3 more caves or narrow opening. Worth visit for historic heritage site buff. Can spend 1 hr. It's peaceful and reasonable clean.

These caves are in the middle of the city and we need to walk little inside the city from the railway station. The caves are in Jogeswari East. You need to get down at railway station and walk for more than 1 km.You can find a sign board on left side of the service road. These caves seems to be very old and they are not maintained well.Everywhere we can see mud and there is not proper walking path around the cave.
