Neighbourhood: Bandra West
Known as the Queen of Suburbs, Bandra is Mumbai’s favourite neighbourhood Buzzing with hip and artsy events, watering holes in every nook and corner, quaint cafes for every mood of the day, graffitied streets of tiny Catholic villages, stunning views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link and Worli’s skyline from the historic Bandra Fort, are just some of the reasons that makes Bandra a reigning cultural hotspot. All visitors always feel welcomed here by the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the bakeries on Hill Road, celebrities casually strolling around the bylanes of Pali Hill, street shopping on Linking Road, beautiful sunsets at Carter Road & Bandstand and candle-lit historic churches including the centuries-old Mount Mary Basilica.

This is one of the most frequented place by youngsters, which is also known as Lovers' Point.

Also known as Land's End, it is part of rich history, where Portugese rulers built a fort in 1640, Fort of the Waterfront. This entire area was bought by a Parsi businessman Sir Byramjee Jeejeebhoy in 1850. Now one can see Taj Land's End and abodes of several top Bollywood persons in this area.

great place, great view, great atmosphere.

On one side of the fort you can see the sea link and the skyscrapers standing tall behind it.
Turn a bit to the right and you can see the never ending sea. Descend through the rocks to get up close and personal with the sea. Perfect place to spend lazy evenings, by the sea shore, starring at the city.

Have been to Bandra Fort A lot of time.
The view is amazing while the sunset.
It is very pleasing to sit by the bay looking at the sunset and listening to the waves, while cold breeze passes by.

This is located at the end of Band Stand. Many films were shot at this location. It used to be lovers paradise but nowadays even general public are seen at large. There is a well developed Garden as you climb up & when on top do not forget to watch the sunset. Its breathtaking. The only major issue is to find parking of ur vehicle.

Scenic view. Cool breeze always flows here. Sit on the edge of bandra fort and enjoy the horizon, the infinity view where sea and sky meets. This whole thing calms you down and you feel freshed. On the other side watch the famous "Bandra-Worli Sea Link". A good infrastructure to watch for. Its good for couples too. Good place to be romantic.

Tip of the small triangular landscape facing the arabian sea knows as Bandra.. Only the remains of old fort remains which has now been converted into a sea-side garden. Rocks allow tourists to wet their feet in the salty water.. Left side looks give a magnificent sight of the Bandra Worli Sea Link.. and looking in front gives a view of mighty sun setting in the expense of the sea..
Many famous bollywood personalities boast of having their residence in the vicinity especially Shahrukh Khan in his aptly named bungalow - Mannat..
Small walk on the road leading to the Fort is beautiful with small diners and cafes giving lots of options to munch and relax..

Bandra Fort is a place at the end of Band Stand next to The Taj Ends land. This is very hot destination for movie shooting and for event, like band show. This place is very photogenic, gives awesome view. It is a place where people (Couples, Friends, Families) would come and enjoy the time.

During the events it becomes Jam Packed. The place has got no entry fee if there is no event. So you can simply visit the place and enjoy your time. The place becomes pleasant during evening specially winter time. Rarely you will find this place empty. The place is suitable to spend a couple of hours with your loved ones.

When you reach the fag end of Bandra Band Stand promenade (past a glitzy five-star hotel on the left) you come across a small gate almost hidden from the average public eye .On the right of this gate are steps taking you up to what a board says Fort Gardens. But right in front one spots what seems like ancient stone walls. The Bandra Fort-or Castella de Aguada (Portuguese: Fort of the Waterpoint) as it was christened by the Portuguese who built it — was built as a watchtower overlooking Mahim Bay, the Arabian Sea and the southern island of Mahim. Built and completed by the Portuguese in 1640, it must have provided unrestricted view of the horizons in those days when Bandra used to be a pleasure grove for Portuguese noblemen engaging in hunting and other sports. There must have been some source of fresh water around, which explains the name of the fort that means a place where seafaring ships used to stop for replenishing their fresh water supply.
Bandra Fort has been renovated few years ago and a beautiful garden and amphitheater has embellished the attraction of the place as a great hangout zone.Cultural programs are often held here.
From the fort, you can get the best view of the Bandra-Worli Sea link- Mumbai’s great engineering marvel. It is a favorite haunt of photographers and couples looking for privacy. Enjoy the sunset view from this point.
Overall Bandra Fort is a picturesque location that one doesn’t get tired visiting. It is beautiful throughout the year in all seasons. It is advisable to avoid the garden after dark. This fort is a beautiful heritage piece. Hence littering should be avoided. You can reach the fort both by public transport or your own vehicle. Parking space is available in the area.
