I went for a trek here and on a Sunday for a run. Lovely place. Green and clean. Must visit for every Mumbaiker.

We visited yesterday sanjiv gandhi national park, borivali east, mumbai. good to nature with living in metro city. There is a cave kanheri at top of the mountain you can reach there by car or walk. good to hang out with family and friends.

surrounded by concrete jungle this national park acts like a lifeline by reducing pollution and providing healthy life to people. with other inclusions like kenhari caves , animal safari etc, this site must be visited by any nature lover.

Charges are little high if you are using it professionally.But for hobbyist photographer,no extra money is required.
Can we please know a bit more about the overnight tent stay here? How safe is it for only female group? What are the facilities inside the tent, reviews on cleanliness in and around the tent area...

The other two answers to this question are flawed. The tent stay, is the one provided by the government , which has to be booked in the office at the entrance is a safe and reasonably neat place. there are even AC tents... More

At what time does one get to hire bicycles at SGNP? Is it possible at 6.30 am in morning or does it start later?

7.30 am is safe bet. do carry original government I'd proof which they retain as deposit.
