Once you enter inside the park you would not feel if you are in Mumbai. The place is huge and difficult to cover on foot. There are caged vehicles to take you around. You can have good view of some wild animals inside.

Tiger safari is short but its fun. Its a 20-25 mins ride in a bus. You can see at least two lions and three tigers. Its fun to catch the glimpse from the bus. The ride starts from 9am

Hi, I have a few questions- 1. Is the park open during Monsoons? (we wish to visit in July 2nd week) 2. We don't have private car. Can we book share car for jungle safari at the entrance of park? Do we have to book it in advance? 3. How long does the Jungle car safari take? 4. If we wish to visit Kanheri caves along with Jungle safari, will it be possible within 4-5 hrs? Also, can we book a car to go to Kanheri caves from the park? Thanks a lot in advance!

The other two answers to this question are flawed. The tent stay, is the one provided by the government , which has to be booked in the office at the entrance is a safe and reasonably neat place. there are even AC tents... More
