We had been to visit Lion / Tiger Safari of the famous Borivali National Park of Mumbai. You can not take your hired vehicle inside the park. Cheapest option to reach is by local train( borivali railway station). Good eating place is hotel apala samadhan, 2km from national park. Caves within park is worth visiting. Safari is very average. You have to walk a lot. Do you want to take a break from city, pass time?

This is great day out....around 109 caves to visit with beautiful carvings....a sacred place for Buddhists so there are a lot of monks visiting and chanting...not all the carvings are well preserved but still worth a visit. The grand hall in particular is pretty impressive. There are lots of monkeys on the way up to the caves, be aware not... More
