The lake has very good views. Powai Lake is an artificial lake, situated in the Powai valley, where a Powai village with a cluster of huts existed.

Huge lake in a totally residential suburb of Mumbai. Completely untouched by construction activity. Clear and surviving lake right in the middle. Breezy while u pass by. Must visit if u go to Powai in Mumbai.

Lake Powai is a good place to hang out, walk, or just sit and watch the the activities around. Good locality for food and shopping

This freshwater lake is a very large water body with the high rises of Hiranandani Gardens on one side and the lovely wooded Powai gardens and magnificent Renaissance hotel on the other side,is teeming with water life and wading birds. And yes there are crocodiles too! There is a walking track along the bank adjoining the JVLR.

Avoidable.... Heavy traffic around, no parking facilities, nothing major to do except walk around. No food except hawkers

Lake is very beautiful and even has proper sitting arrangement alongside the boundary. The cool breezes of the lake, whether it is day or night calms you.

You can catch a glimpse of this lake from many different points. I particularly like the view from the renaissance hotel.

It can be entered from 2 sides but the one from Aarey Colony is better. Go and sit and relax on the calm waters. A walking ledge takes you to the opposite side. There are picnic spots but avoid bus loads of locals who may make life miserable with their noise and litterring
