Thanks to Hemali & Bravo Bombay I had a memorable first day in Mumbai. She's incredible knowledgeable about the city and its history and put together a perfect trip for me (with some input from my side). We started our tour at the Sassoon docks, commenced via the locals train - a special wish of mine - to the Dhobi Ghat, paid a visit to Malabar Hills and Hanging Gardens, had lunch at the Iscon temple (what a neat idea!) and concluded our tour in South Mumbai with the Dabba-wallas and Victoria Terminal. Throughout the day she was enthusiastic, always ready to answer my many questions, feeding me numerous stories even about sites we did not have time to visit, and provided me with great suggestions for my further stay. Thank you Hemali! …

On recommendation from friends we were treated to two wonderful and exciting days in Mumbai. Hemali is a very special lady with a vast knowledge of the city. Amongst other places visited were the flower market, a temple and the fascinating Dharavi. We also travelled on a train and visited a fish market and went to a terrific vegetarian restaurant for lunch. We feel truly privileged to have spent two fantastic days with Hemali.…

We had two days in Mumbai during our recent cruise and on recommendation of friends arranged a private/small group tour of Mumbai with Hemali of Bravo Bombay. For those two days four of us were given the experience of a lifetime. If all you want are museums and landmarks this tour may not be for you, but if you really want to experience life in Mumbai, Hemali will provide it. She is a delight.…

We recently spent two days touring with Hemali from Bravo Bombay. Everything about the experience was outstanding. Our first day we did the Eighteen best of Bombay and a Bazaar Walk. Our second day we did the Flower Market and Dharavi tour. Both days were fabulous. She is such a kind and genuine person, everywhere we went she would talk to people in their local language (of which she speaks many), as well as perfect English. Because of her kindness, everyone we encountered throughout the city seemed happy to share, welcome us into their workplaces and homes, and let us get a glimpse into their lives. So in addition to all the history of Mumbai she provided, we got a wonderful insight into the people and culture of the city. Over the course of the two days I felt like I made a real friend in Mumbai. I didn’t want our days to end. I was visiting during Diwali and Hemali even invited me into her home to meet her lovely family and have tea and wonderful local snacks she prepared. If you want to begin to get a true sense of this fascinating and complicated city you must book with Hemali at Bravo Bombay.…

We had an amazing day in Mumbai with Hemali, and I cannot recommend her highly enough! it was the best day of our 2 week holiday. She showed us numerous places over 7 hours, including a temple, the Gate of India, and the amazing Taj Hotel. She also took us to an amazing vegetarian street food restaurant - the best meal we had in the whole holiday! As a local of Mumbai, her knowledge and expertise was brilliant. I have already passed her details on to friends who are going to India later this year. And she is lovely!…
