Friendly guide and some very interesting places to see. It costs 900 rs per person, or 5000 for a private tour. For 2,5 hours this is most reasonable and it is nice to know that the money goes back to the slum community.
We did a full custom day tour with Raj from Reality Tours while in Mumbai for two days. We started off from our hotel and saw some sights in South Mumbai and then moved to some more off beat items including Ghandi Museum and Feeding...More
I signed up for this tour because I wanted to see a side to Mumbai we see in the movies—like Slumdog Millionaire—but don't get the chance to understand. This tour is actually the first tour to be given in Dharavi, and the tour company makes...More
Brilliant guide. A highlight to our visit to Mumbai. Highly recommend. Gave us a different perspective to Dharavi. Chetty was very knowledgeable and well respected. Felt safe at all times. Love that 80% goes back to the slum
It was a beautiful and very addictive tour, showing how people of the slums live.
Giving all the respect to community and doing so much in order to give back to them.
Very moving to see and participate.
Thank you for a wonderful tour.
I did the tour with my family (5 teenagers!) and out parents. It was absolutely brilliantly done and a very rewarding experience. The guide was both helpful and informative and I hope more and more westerners will share this life-enriching experience.
I went to the Dharavi slum with Reality Tours. The shuttle van service there and back was great. The guide and driver were both so nice.
The guide was informative, gives insights about how Dharavi works, and about the challenges of daily life. You end...More
I was concerned about turning myself into a voyeur, which was opposite of how I felt about this visit. The visit is informative, gives indights about how Dharavi works, and about the challenges of daily life. You end up understand how hard working and courageous...More
It’s the tourist central of the city with a liberal dose of rich history, iconic eating and drinking joints and artistic connections that have found prominent mentions in Gregory David Roberts’ Shantaram. Stroll down Colaba Causeway for kitschy street shopping bargains. Take a break at the many
laid-back legendary bars & restaurants like Cafe Mondegar or Leopold Café. The vibrant vibe of Colaba is incomplete without the buzz at Mumbai’s most iconic tourist hub, Gateway of India & The Taj Mahal Hotel on the parallel lane. Sprinkled with designer boutiques, quaint cafes with rooftop sea view, the promenade is a popular route to go to Elephanta Caves & Alibaug.
