As I sit in the airport lounge in Singapore, I reflect on our Indian holiday. We arrived in New Delhi just 10 days ago. We had no idea who (Jewish India Tours) JIT was. We had spoken once with (Mr) Joshua the owner and had corresponded many times with Ritu and Joshua in the office fine tuning our itinerary. We were a little apprehensive about landing in New Delhi. What would the service be like? What would the hotels be like? 10 days later we are happy to report that everything was perfect. 5 stars doesn't tell the story. I could talk highly about the hotels (all top notch), I could talk about how knowledgeable the tour guide (Rachit) is. I could even talk about how safe and accommodating the driver (Mintoo) is. The car was spotless. The bottled water ever present. Nothing was too much.I could tell you how they recommended itinerary changes to suit my special Jewish needs and Kosher eating habits. I could tell you how they shipped Kosher Chabad food perfectly and on time to each and every hotel we stayed in. (They even arranged new pots and pans so that a cooking demonstration with vegetables could be Kosher). What I cannot verbalise is the warmth, the friendship and the genuine care felt. This is not something tangible. It is also something rare. JIT has a secret sauce for making you feel special and like family all at the same time.We recommend JIT to you.

Joshua is a fantastic and knowledgeable guide on all things India, but especially Jewish India. I toured with him in a large group for eight days and he was a joy to work with. He has great recommendations for things to do around the city, from restaurants to bars, and is incredibly informed about the history of Jewish India. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Joshua was the perfect tour guide for our group. He was patient, flexible, thoughtful and very knowledgeable. We loved the balance between Jewish sites (past and present) as well as general cultural and local insights. He brought us to fantastic places to eat which catered well to dietary restrictions, and knew where to find us non-public bathrooms as needed along the way. He listened to our many cultural and historical questions and answered each one thoughtfully and clearly. I wish I could have been able to stay much longer to keep learning from him. He was able to smoothly pivot and create a new plan when our group had some illness, and he continually brought us to places many tourists don't get to go (such as a fishermen's village). I cannot speak highly enough of Joshua!

Joshua is amazing!!!!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this man and this tour. Joshua knows everything about Jewish India and took us to some incredible sites. We’re a group of reform rabbinical and cantorial students looking to broaden our sense of Jewish peoplehood, and boy did this trip do that. We’re so grateful to Jewish India Tours for such a wonderful time.

JI is a fantastic tour company, I recommend using them for everything you want to do in India, flights, transportation, sites, best food etc... But most of all, Joshua is an amazing tour guide, he is so knowledgeable and flexible and kind. He is sensitive to what you re interested in and will Taylor the experience to fit your needs and taste. I can't wait to travel to India again with JI and Joshua.

Took a private tour for 2 people with Jewish India Tours last week. Our guide was Joshua. I have visited 103 countries and taken many tours and can honestly say that this tour was one of the best ever.
Joshua, being Bnei Israel himself, was very knowledgeable and full of personal insights into the Jewish history of Mumbai. The tour was supposed to take 3 hours but in fact ended up being nearly 6 hours and the time passed too fast. Joshua was very responsive and accommodating..... when he learned that my partner was a fashion designer he took us to see the home of celebrated local fashion designer and amateur chef James Ferreira - we met the him and it was fascinating.
If you want a great tour with a local guide with personal insights, then I wholeheartedly recommend Jewish India Tours and Joshua.

Joshua is a dream of a tour guide! He is knowledgeable, flexible, and humorous. He led our week long tour of Jewish Cochin and Mumbai for Jewish clergy. He tailored the trip to the audience, introducing us to important landmarks and leaders. He also showed us the incredible culture of India through excellent food and drink. I can’t recommend Joshua and his company more highly!

I have only great things to say about our week-long tour of the Golden Triangle. For context, it was scheduled for the weeks before the 2020 lock-downs started taking effect in earnest around the world. Ritu and the rest of the organizing staff were wonderfully proactive to make sure that all four of us had a wonderful time. Although we didn't meet Joshua in person, we had three other amazing, fun, and informative tour guides on our trip. One in particular, Dilip, went above and beyond to give us a memorable Holi celebration at a time when large public events were unreliable due to the pandemic concerns. I'm very thankful to everyone!

The tour of Mumbai with Joshua was absolutely amazing. Not only did we view the Jewish sites of Mumbai, we received a detailed and interesting lesson in the Jewish history of Mumbai that was engaging to us as parents but also to our three teenage children. In addition, we were shown Mumbai’s main tourist sites as well. We lunched at a fabulous Indian restaurant and were introduced to Thali. Super delicious! We all learned so much and had a fantastic time as well. Thank you Joshua for a memorable day!

We had a wonderful day tour of Jewish sites in Mumbai led by a fabulous guide, Hanna. We learned all about the Jewish communities in India including the Bene-Israel, Baghdaddi Jews, and the Jews of Cochin. Hanna was very informative and her sense of humor made the tour fun. We were with 2 other couples and were very comfortable in a small bus with a good driver. We saw the David Sassoon library, several synagogues and Nariman Chabad house. This tour was a definite highlight of our trip and is highly recommended.
