Mumbai historical and food tour with dream team

An excellent, well informed and friendly team that made my and my friend’s experience of Mumbai delightful and exciting. They took absolutely great care of our needs having fun with our constant debates during our travel. Abishek as our coordinator to Elephanta caves tour was so humble and understanding of our delays, and had great insight on Mumbai life and best Vada Pav. He was such a fun to be with. The native guide’s tour of the Elephanta caves was so thorough and inclusive of excellent camera angles. City tour converted to heritage tour with Masters student in tourism, Sanika was once again such an educational and fun filled experience. Shared Gandhian experience in Mani Bhavan was the highlight. Food tour with Rakesh was an absolute must exploring some of the best street food of Mumbai, cutting chai and the oldest ice cream shop selling hand made ice cream. Finally a trip to Lonovala with the driven Pavan was quite comfortable, and he was kind enough to accommodate our travel needs showing us the best sites including historical Karla caves. Overall, it was such a great experience of Mumbai with Mumbai Dreams team.

An Excellent Introduction to Mumbai

My wife and I were met, very punctually and politely, by our guide, Rakesh. He and his driver took us to all of Mumbai’s most famous sights. Rakesh’s English was very good, and not only was he very informative, but he was very humorous too. We never felt rushed when we stopped to take photos, and Rakesh was happy to take on the role of photographer when we both wished to be in the shot. The weather was hot and humid, so the car’s air conditioning provided a series of welcome breaks as we drove from one sight to the next,

Great experience at the Bandra walking tour

We went to the Bandra walking tour and it was fabulous. Even the weather cooperated :) and Akanksha, our very knowledgeable guide shared so much trivia about the suburb and the history of Mumbai/Bombay. We could tell the tour has been really well researched.

We have always appreciated to hear stories and learn from the locals, and this tour was such a treat.
Would highly recommend.

A Delightful Glimpse of Mumbai

Rakesh was an excellent guide. He spoke clearly and knowledgeably. He was punctual, polite, and charmingly humorous. With the assistance of his driver, he took the pair of us to all of Mumbai’s most famous places. It was good to cool off in the air conditioned car between stops.

Amazing heritage walk hosted by Krishna!

Bandra heritage walk with Sanika

We took the Bandra heritage walk with Sanika. It was the most amazing experience. We have lived in Bombay since 10 years, but we learnt and experienced so many unknown and new places around Bandra. Sanika is supremely familiar with the history and culture of the area and had childlike excitement to answer everything we asked her.

Excellent Experience with Mumbai Dream Tours - The Bandra Walking Tour

I did the Bandra Walking Tour and was blessed with the most wonderful guide in Krishna. Not only was she a charming and fun presence, she also spoke perfect English, and was incredibly knowledgeable about Bandra and Mumbai history, not surprising given she’s about to gain her MA in history.
(I bet it’s a first Krishna!).
Bandra is a hip, vibrant neighbourhood, renowned for its trendy restaurants, boutiques, youthful vibe, and Bollywood star residents. Additionally, it has a strong Portuguese heritage, evident in the lovely period houses and pretty churches. It is also home to many from the Koli fishing community and it was fascinating to discover more about these people and how integral they have been, and continue to be, in the cultural make up of Bombay/Mumbai.
I did 2 other excursions with Mumbai Dream Tours and these were also excellent,
The firm is easy to book with, and very responsive in communications.
I would highly recommend them.

Very informative and interesting

Akanksha is very knowledgeable about the history of her city and talks passionately about the places visited on the tour. The tour is done at just the right pace, giving plenty of time to look at things and ask questions. I would highly recommend the tour to get an overview of how the city has developed and grown from small beginnings to the Mumbai of today, with details of its historical milestones.

Fresh look at South Mumbai

It was an afternoon well-spent hearing Sanika, our tour guide, talk about South Bombay on this heritage walk. We covered all the stops at a brisk pace but not rushed.
Sanika was knowledgeable about the city's history and the colonial architecture, that is the highlight of this tour. Our family has deep and long ties to Mumbai. Yet Sanika pleasantly surprised us with all sorts of stories about various people and places.
Sanika's interactive and engaging style made the otherwise hot and dry afternoon thoroughly enjoyable.

Thank you, Mumbai Dream Tours! We enjoyed the tour so much. It was an incredibly enriching experience. The tour took us through the vibrant streets of Mumbai, showcasing its bustling markets, iconic landmarks, and diverse neighborhoods.

Shout out to Suraj, our guide, for being patient and very friendly to us. He’s also very knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into Mumbai's rich cultural heritage, sharing stories about the city's colonial past, Bollywood influence, and the struggles and triumphs of its people. The visit to Dhobi Ghat was particularly eye-opening, giving us a glimpse into the lives of the city's unsung heroes.
