The whole GoMowgli concept is a fantastic start-up that is dedicated to conscious travel. Kaa was kind enough to take me out on this tour as a solo traveler, even though the other guests had to cancel. Whether traveling in a group or as an individual, I definitely recommend doing one of their trips. Kaa is a really fun person to spend a day with, not to mention an absolute treasure trove of information. I found myself excitedly taking notes as if I was back in school. He provides wonderful context regarding the region’s history and faith traditions so that when visiting the sites, one can sincerely appreciate their significance. This is not a whistle stop tour; this is a trip that encourages its participants to learn and go deeper. The stops on the trip are well curated – a perfect balance of history, spirituality, cuisine, and local industry. I’m excited for the next excursion with this organization!

The guys who run GoMowgli are first class. I was in contact with Kaa long before I came to India, he is extremely generous, helpful and hospitable. Our trip would have not been the success it was, without him!
If you want more than just a 'drive around' for a day tour, then I suggest you book with GoMowgli. Whilst visiting Mysore, Kaa took us on a Mysore - Sharavanabelagola - Melukote - Mysore tour. We had an brilliant day, he's an enthusiastic story teller and I felt like I learnt, as well as saw, so much. We also met his team members in Coorg and Kochi during our trips there. Thank you SO much for everything guys, keep up all of the amazing entrepreneurial work you're doing, and I hope to welcome you to London any time!

Our group was a mish mash of young and old and it was a pleasant surprise that all of us enjoyed the tour very much. While I have been to India before, this one tour had me mesmerised.

Seeing that we are mostly designers and architects, our guide Kaa made a detour to the impressive Keshava temple before Mysore (too beautiful for words). It was very thoughtful that he constantly aligned the places we visited with our interests (and wants), making the tour a very personal one.

To add on to the awe, Kaa is a polymath, so he’ll prolly be able to answer any question you throw at him. The stories and historical recollections revealed layers of India that made us want to know more and visit again. I definitely recommend GoMowgli to anyone who is going to India!

I went on both the Mysore day tour and the Somanathapura tour with GoMowgli.

The Mysore day tour was excellent with Kaa. We started the day climbing 1000 stairs to the top of Chamundi Hills, and then went to two different places to try out delicious dosas. Next stop was the palace, followed by stone and wood sculptors who were extremely talented. The tour ended with a visit to the markets. The tour had a great variety of activities and was well paced. I really enjoyed it.

Kaa really cares about his customers and is passionate about his company. He took me out at night on his motorbike as I was traveling alone which was extra special.

The Somanathapura tour was interesting, and I enjoyed going out onto the river. However I thought it would have been better if there were a few more activities included in the tour like the Mysore day tour.

Our awesome experience with goMowgli started before we even reached India. I e-mailed back and forth with Kaa, who not only was flexible with scheduling a Mysore tour to fit our hectic time frame, but he also helped us with our overnight train ticket booking! His genuine concern and effort to help make our vacation a success was such a relief and comfort. It felt like we already had a friend in India, on a first-time visit to a country where we knew nobody.

The actual city tour was wonderful, led by the very friendly and knowledgeable Raghu. His passion and enthusiasm for his city is evident and we could tell he truly enjoys teaching people about the culture and history of Karnataka. He showed us around Mysore on a well-paced tour that allowed us to sample local foods, explore the local market, see craft workshops, visit a temple, tour the Mysore palace, and still allowed for some downtime to chat about Hinduism and answer all our questions. Again, it felt like we were spending time exploring a city with a friend rather than being led by a typical tour guide.

This was the most valuable tour of our trip, and provided us with a background and understanding of India that we had previously missed. I find myself now quoting information Raghu told us to friends and family back home to help them better understand such a fascinating place. I cannot recommend this tour, and this company, enough.
Our tour ended with Raghu and our chauffeur dropping us off at the train station in time for our journey. (Kaa even spoke with me on the phone to check in and give recommendations for the next leg of our trip in Hampi).

Thank you goMowgli, Kaa and Raghu for being one of the fantastic highlights of our India trip!!! I look forward to taking another GoMowgli tour on our next visit!

I had booked our trip to Goa Mysore and Kochi before I came across goMowgli and I thank my lucky stars that I discovered them. Without their help our trip would not have been so enjoyable or memorable. We certainly did visit places off the beaten track and were grateful that they provided the opportunity for us to do so. Our friendly and welcoming guides, without exception, were highly knowledgeable and informative and had the knack of answering questions before you thought to ask them! They all appeared to be enjoying themselves rather than working and their obvious pride in, and love for, their country shone through and in turn inspired us. Thank you Kaa Dazzle Simba and Popcorn

I certainly recommend tour with Kaa and gomowgli. The pre arrangements were prompt and clear. Pick up and drop were convenient and all in all a very friendly approach. Kaa's knowledge and readiness to answer was excellent. The driver was just where and when we needed him. The sights were superb and very much worth a visit, many steps but can be done slowly. Food was very good too as was beautiful sunset at the end of the day.
Thanks!!
