Best place for nature and bird lover. We took a pedal boat for bird watching and photography, that was awesome. Must visit place in mysore from Jan to March.

A very well maintained place, is ideal for a walk early in the morning. The lake is dry at the moment, but, can imagine how good it must be in the rains. Lots of Birds to see and I do say this is a must see place.

The place is very near to zoo 5 to 10 min walk from there n 5 min walk from mall of mysore. The place is very good fir couples . There is entry fees for goin inside. The place has a mini bird zoo. The place has boating inside lake n its nice n fun . 20 min time will... More

Situated on the Chamundi hill road, we visited this awesome place while returning from Sri Chamundeshwari Temple. Personally I found it even better than ranganathittu bird sanctuary.. There are so many birds including pelicans, ducks, herons, etc. You can also go for boating and you'll be surrounded by these mesmerizing creatures.. Entry fee for adult is 25/- and for boating... Visited here 1 afternoon to enjoy a relaxing time and we did. Away from the hustle and bustle of central Mysore this is a tranquil bit of heaven. Karanji Lake is near to city.The lake is a favourite haunt of migratory bird. You can also do boating in it . It is a protected site .It is in the midst of a Park .

Well maintained lake. Clean and neat. Boating arrangement is well disciplined. People move on first come first basis. The charges are also reasonable. The people around are very hospitable. Helping and caring for the visiting tourists.

This place has a decent boat ride. Just a leisure walk around the lake also promises to give you a few peaceful moments amidst the beautiful natural setting.

This is an amazingly nice place but need bit more upkeep of the lake inside. Its is a nice walkway and gardens along way till we reach the lake.
