If you are in Mysore for 2~3 days, then visit this place and you can spend half day here. Its a scenic spot with gushing waters in rainy season

i spend my childhood days 3 years in this place it was awesome. now because of the bad maintenance of the engineering department its not attractive ..but if you love dam you can visit once...

If you love to see dams and the water , than yes make a trip there , you will know the way these structure is designed sometime back when computer was not heard off

size of the dam is quite small. no gates were open when we visited the dam. water was filled with fully plastic bottles and other wastes.

This is a wonderful dam, but unfortunately there the water levels are down. But the dam is a pleasure to visit once.

A sure visit when you are near Kabini. Serene surroundings, and the best time to travel is Nov to Jan

We traveled for an hour from Mysore to a place called 'Hand Post' in bus. From hand post, we took a car which cost us 150 to go to Kabini Dam. No public transportation seems to be available here to go to the dam The dam was closed to public and the security personnel asked us to get in sideways... More

90 kms away Mysore city towards south, you will find Kabini dam, this is anplaxe where water flow of western ghat is stored and released to southern parts of Karnataka and few parts of tamilnadu, you can spend quality time at jungle lodge, sarai and orange county and get fully eased out.....!!!
