Very good and wonderful place to start with the family in the weekend. The exciting things are very useful for our children for their studies, these all are in the only museum we can see.Rare books and useful oldage coins, utensils, wild animals pictures, etc are displayed here.

It appeared good for kids, however nothing exciting. Located inside Mysore railway station. Not maintained at all.

A nice little stop, with a garden of old engines and a separate exhibit where you could see the tiny carriages of a historic train.

It is a good concept of having a rail museum to showcase the engines and coaches of Indian railways. The place however is not maintained well and the toy train is not working !! big disapointment for children.

It is located beside Mysuru Railway station, a place for kids and children only, visit only if you are left with spare time, 5-min ride with a small toy train inside, nice playing area for children, steam engine is the best attraction.

Near to the Mysore railway station. A few types of trains with its description. Steam engine, kids train, locomotive, train wheel etc displayed on open ground along with kids play area. Exciting part is kids can steer the steering wheel, change signal, apply brake etc My younger one panicked to see such a gigantic vehicles. Take a few snaps. Spend... More

Interesting to see the old trains. Also the Maharani's coach is a special attraction. The Maharaja's coach can be viewed in the Rail Museum in New Delhi. There is also a toy train rider which children specially enjoy.

Nothing much to see inside except for train. Reasonable pricing for entrance ticket, only 15 rupee. So, visit only if u have time.

Whist in our Mysore trip, we didn't realise that there's a rail museum, which will certainly help the Rail Enthusiasts, and yes it did for people like me. There's a small train which runs thru the museum, great entertainment for children. Also plethora of information on locomotives, coaches et al. Some more maintenance can make this place simply amazing.
