Tibetan Buddhist monastery. It presently closed for renovations. Hence there is nothing to see. Unusually, the inhabitants are not very friendly. If one has seen Buddhist monasteries in Leh, Northeast, then this location can be skipped.

Holy place for Buddhist. Closed for renovation. You can go around the garden. That’s all. Quite a long way away from Mysore. So, you can skip unless you are going to Coorg

Amazing example of Buddhist architecture, watch the trainee monks chanting. The 3 huge golden Buddha’s in the main hall are the best in india.

Good tourist attraction and a peaceful temple. Lot of Tibetan architecture and art. It is the largest teaching centre of Tibetan Buddhism.

A nice Tibetan settlement. Very warm people. Unfortunately the Golden Temple was closed for repairs. Beautiful flowers in the garden. So serene.

On the way to Madikeri from Mysore, you got to turn left from the highway, watch out for the SIGN BOARD, once you turn left, there will be a stretch when you just see empty meadows...continue and you will hit the monastery.
