I am honestly so grateful and happy I came to Samyak for my 200h Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training! The location of the school is amazing because it is surrounded by beautiful nature. We spent every afternoon break by the river and enjoyed stunning sunsets in the evening from the rooftop watching peacocks in the fields behind the school.
Before coming for my YTT I was afraid that the intensity of the course will be too much for me to make it through, but the whole team at Samyak was so amazing and supportive every single day - I can't thank them enough for their guidance.
I was absolutely in awe of the amount of knowledge all the teachers had and all of them were always leading the classes very authentically and with a smile on their face. Even in their free time, they were always open for discussions, answering questions or making sure that we were all feeling good there.
Besides the amazing teachers, I can't forget about the loving "aunties" that were taking care of feeding us the best fresh food every single day. You could feel the love they put in each meal.
Overall, my experience at Samyak exceeded my expectations so much and I am definitely coming back there for my further Yoga studies one day.

Ten out of ten would recommend this yoga program. It’s is a really opportunity to dive deeply into what yoga means at different levels like philosophy, physical, mental, and spiritual. You’ll have the chance and space to practice your asanas with some of the most competent teachers I’ve ever come across in my eight years of practicing. You’ll have a great time and there will be lovey people from around the world and from India. That’s something that really stood out to me: this isn’t a program just for a retreat for Westerners but a real exposure to deep yoga practice. And the food there is amazing! The facilities are very comfortable. And the river nearby is beautiful and wonderful to dip your toes in. Plus, there are historic temples nearby, and the city of Mysore is great to explore on your days off.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! I did the 200-hr Vinyasa TTC at Samyak in July 2024, and had the most enriching time. The teachers and learning experiences, accommodation, food exceeded all my expectations. We had such a fun time learning, engaging in discussions about the various yoga philosophies, and practicing yoga. It's so beautiful to come together with a group of like-minded individuals who are learning together from such experience acharyas!

One of the best places for TTC.

I did my Hatha Yoga 200hrs TTC in May 2024 at Samyak.

The calming environment cut off from all the city sounds, the beautiful river Kaveri at the backside of Shaala, and greenery in all directions filled with the sounds of the birds - you cannot ask for a better setting for the training.

The Acharyas (teachers) are experienced and knowledgeable. I particularly loved Rakesh Acharya's philosophy classes and how engaging he made them.

Here are a few other things I loved about my experience here -
- The food served here was delicious and nutritious and I loved it.
- The twin-sharing room I stayed in was neat and cosy.
- We were a class of 25 and felt like one teacher for Asana clinic wasn't enough. They were very receptive to this feedback and we had another teacher the very next day.

What's special?

The focus on the real goal of Yoga and building student's teaching capacity.

For a person with a lot of self-doubt like me, the clarity of instructions, asana alignments, posture corrections, and lots of mock teaching was super helpful.

One thing that could've been better - For anatomy classes a PPT, skeletal model and a little in-depth teaching would have been more helpful.

With Samyak's TTC course (I think my 6 years in fitness also helped), I was able to secure a Yoga Instructor job at Cult Fitness. During this hiring process, I was able to see a huge difference in knowledge and teaching capacity that I got from Samyak and what others were taught in their Yogashalas. Many even seemed to be struggling with the basics.

I'm so grateful to have chosen Samyak! I hope to be there soon for my 300-hour TTC.

My YTTC 300 experience at Samyak was truly outstanding, thanks to the environment and all the acharyas. My personal practice has reached a new level, and I've gained a deeper understanding of chanting, mudras, philosophy, and traditional yoga styles. The Ayurvedic-style food and private accommodation were wonderful—I stayed in a riverside shala, where I could enjoy the flow of the river and the sounds of wildlife. Everyone here is kind, friendly, and respectful. I highly recommend this school and extend a special thanks to Acharya Rakesh for running it so well.

I just finished my 200hrs Hatha YTT in Samyak and all my expectations were met and exceeded. I did a 200hr 2 years ago in Bali and it was amazing but I felt something was missing, hence my decision to come to India.

I was looking for in depth knowledge about the practice, the asanas and the concept of teaching to people and the philosophy. All the teachers in Samyak showed amazing knowledge, patience and love for not only the teaching of yoga but the lifestyle itself, these are true holders of the original jewel of yoga and I feel blessed to have found my way to Samyak.

After this course I feel confident, inspired and knowledgeable, eager to keep learning and spreading these insights. I do have to say that as they say themselves in the website is definitely not a retreat, it's an intensive course where you have to put the best of you to receive the best of it, teachers are kind, patient and put equal amounts of attention to all of us but it's only when you give your best that you see the fruits of the course.

As for the rest of things, the place is peaceful and very in touch with nature, The food was unbelievable and made with such care, clean facilities and good equipment, honestly I can't think of any cons about this experience.

I'm not a very social person and I usually struggle opening too much with people. My group was well balanced between locals and westerners, and even though I didn't make any profound bonds, I felt absolutely comfortable and able to find my own peace and rhythm, same for the rest, everyone felt comfortable to be their own selves, which I think is crucial when you are exploring a new approach to life.

Thanks to the Samyak family for giving me this beautiful and unique experience. 🙏

I loved my experience at Samyak as I recently completed 200 hour YTTC in Nov 2024. Our philosophy class with Rakesh acharya was one of the highlights of the course. His guidance is always aimed at showing you the right path. All the acharyas are really nice, kind and are always ready to help you. The kitchen staff is really great. The accomodation, food, environment, content of the classes, pace of the course, the cleaning staff, management, events- everything was great. I would highly recommend Samyak for yoga teacher training course.

I am so happy I did this at Samyak. The teachers' knowledge and skills of teaching were professional, and the whole course was put together of many parts such as asanatraining, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy and anatomy, kriyas and ayurveda, and through it all always training us at the skill of what we were doing as well as the teacher training view. Doing our own practise as well as the practise of adjusting as a yoga teacher and the thinking around it, what to pay attention to. We were 21 in the group, and a really lovely group. The indian english was new for me and sometimes difficult to understand but questions were welcomed. Many people washed their clothes themselves although you could get help with the washing too, and the laundry dried quickly outdoors. Situated in this beautiful countryside landscape by the river in the lovely house with rooms for all that we needed; accomodation, food, yoga, just hanging out in the pauses, outdoors recreation or resting etc. It was an intense program, full of yoga, full of life, and it felt like the teachers took the time to get to know us all during the month and wanted us to be well and I felt they welcomed us all as we were🙏

One of the best yoga schools in india. Rakesh is an exceptional teacher not just with his yoga asanas but also his approach to yoga philosophy and how to relate it with the modern world we all live under. Rakesh makes you feel a part of the samyak family and is a wonderful guide to begin a complete spiritual yogic experience with. Kamal has a unique style of sharing his knowledge of yoga be it asana clinic or philosophy or kirtans. Nagendra has been really helpful with improvising our yoga asanas and adds a fun balance being tech savy and encouraging in sharing this beautiful experience with everyone on the web world.

The food is absolutely delicious and the rooms are simple yet exceptionally clean. The property at which samyak is located is beautiful and serene.

Would most definitely visit again and highly recommend Samyak to anyone looking to learn yoga in the right way as the teachers are very well trained and highly knowledgable with the subject !

PS : all solo travellers, its been absolutely safe , amazing fun and a friendly atmosphere at Samyak Yoga

Samyak is one of the best yoga schools where you learn yoga in a traditional method with a peaceful environment. Safe for solo travelers 😊 . The yoga school is located near the banks of Cauvery river and is surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Yogacharya Rakesh is extremely knowledgeable and imparts his knowledge/wisdom with kindness, humbleness and with a sense of humor.
The 200 hr-Hatha yoga teacher training course at Samyak is a holistic and well structured course that goes beyond learning, teaching and correcting physical yoga poses or asanas. Curriculum included morning yoga practice, asana clinic, anatomy, pranayama techniques, class sequencing and philosophy. My personal favorite was Rakesh’s yoga philosophy class where the most mind opening discussions took place.
Each student was given enough attention during all classes. Samyak embraces people of all body types, ages and backgrounds. Nagendra and Kamal are talented teachers with alot of wisdom and each have unique style of teaching.

The rooms are clean and spacious enough to do your personal practice. The chefs were very considerate and made a variety of tasty wholesome dishes, including plant-based (vegan) options.

I will recommend Samyak to anyone who wants to learn how to teach or deepen their personal practice. It was an honor to learn from Rakesh and I am grateful for the heartwarming experience Samyak gave me. I am already looking forward to coming back soon. 🙏 ❤️
