We visited cheluvaraya temple on a saturday and god what a rush and no proper queue system. It was struggle to have darshan also weather was pretty hot. If you are going with kids and elders avoid visiting the temple when its crowded. Post that...More

Pretty nice place to visit with family. Avoid vising on weekends and holidays. Temples are very nice. This place is very famous for Puliyogare. One must visit Yoganarasimha Temple, Cheluvnarayan Swamy temple and Rayagopura. There are two ponds near Raygopura which are getting renovated.

Hi, I would like to know if photography or pre-wedding photoshoot is still allowed in or near Melkote temple. Since this post is about two years old, I am not able to decide based on this.

Hi Vinutha, They do not allow photography inside the temple premises.However there is no restrictions outside the temple.
Can we reach the temple by car? or should we have to climb the stairs?

Upto the certain distance you can reach but after that you have to take stairs for quite a while.
