We met Anil in Shimla and had him organise a tour for a group of us around the Himachel Region. Anil seemed very honest and flexible however once the tour started we unfortunately had a fair bit of trouble. PROS - Anil helped us out on a previous trip and got us a bargain deal on some luxury accomodation on... More

Trekking with Anil was one of the worst experiences of my life. After 11 hours walking, I was struggling and feeling signs of altitude sickness. I slept in a waterlogged tent and woke up very ill. In the morning he had no compassion and left me to deal with the situation alone while he continued to the summit. As a... More

We didn't go on a tour but we met Anil at the YMCA hostel. He has been the most genuine and helpful person I've met on the trip so far. I'm positive that he would organise a really great, safe trip and would be unlike any others on offer!!!

Very friendly staff and they mean well, but you must agree and record contingency plans should something not go as planned.

We visited Shimla in the summer of 2013, where we slept at the YMCA. Anil was hosting a daytrip to Kufri and asked if we wanted to join as well. We did and so did pretty much everyone that was at the YMCA at that time, which resulted in a very fun day! Anil is an amazing guy. Very kind... More

We went on a two week travel in north eastern India during pre monsoon with our family, 2 adults and 3 daughters aged 10-18. Half way through our trip we met with Anil Kumar at YMCA Shimla. This was a turning point for us because we had some bad experiences at night trains and harassments in crowdy places in Delhi... More

we met Anil at the YMCA Shimla and went on a walk to the monkey temple with him where we had delicious pakora at the cafe and marvelled at the monkeys. A few days later we booked a five day tour with Anil which took us to Sarahan, Jibhi, Rewalsar, and Dharamsala. This was the highlight of our month long... More

There are a multiple companies to do business with in Shimla, but we found to have a better feeling with Anil Kumar. He did not charge too much we found out later on and proved to be a reliable person. The trip through Spiti was amazing, the car was OK and the driver, Dave, was great! Along Spiti Valley, a... A beautiful area, and Anil and his coworkers did a great job of taking us to places that were comfortable but not overly touristy. Highly recommended!
