We had a fantastic time with Farheen. We added the spice market tour which was an absolute highlight - exploring the crazy streets of old Delhi. Be prepared for a “raw” view of India. We also really enjoyed the cooking at Farheen’s place. It was so lovely interacting with her family - especially her son. The kitchen is small so good for two people plus Farheen but would be harder for larger groups. The Palak Chaat we made was just incredible - all sorts of different flavours and textures. Thank you Farheen for a truly memorable experience.

This cooking class was so lovely. Farheen went above and beyond with preparation, assistance getting to the venue, and cooking (obviously!). I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in cooking and eating amazing and tasty Indian food!

*Excellent Online cooking class*
It was an excellent and authentic Zoom class. We had a lot of fun and learned very much, farheen explained all cooking steps in detail and managed to guide us towards completing a delicious Indian meal, all via zoom. We also got good instructions beforehand for buying all the necessary items. She always responded very quickly to any doubt.
Overall, a simply amazing online experience and all dishes turned out very yummy. Highly recommend Farheen class!

I got the cooking demonstration as a birthday present from my freinds and it was a lovely Gift. Due to covid protocol I choosen Online class and the food cooked was very yummy: paneer masala, chicken masala, Daal, rice, roti ( chapati) Dinner time was great. Totally recommended.

Farheen is EXTREMELY kind, helpful and prepared (and even more skilful!!).
We prepared many dishes, among which what was by far the best Biryani I have had in my life: fragrant with mint leaves, kewra water and saffron. After the class she will send you the whole recipe book for you to be able to replicate the recipes at home and she does not stop there, you can even ask her for support in case something doesn't go the way you want it to when later cooking her Indian delicacies from home.
Would 10/10 recommend and will definitely go back for another lesson next time I'm in Delhi!
Thanks Farheen! :)

We eat indian regularly and had already taken 2 excellent cooking classes prior to this one.
The food she cooked for us was just average.
I wrote "cooked for us" as she is not to keen in letting you get involved. It felt like she was more interested in rushing to the end of cooking rather than trying to teach us.
Once I stirred the vegetables that were cooking and she sent me packing rudely.
She mentioned an ingredient we have never used before so we asked her what it was. After the third time asking she bothered showing us what it was.
She nearly let chapati burn and knocked the paneer into the sink. (Kitchen very small and not particularly clean)
We paid 18$ per head (970 ru) compared to 600 ru advertised on her website.
We had no dollars so paid in rupees and for the first time in india they were unable to give us change.
She is located in the suburbs. She offers a 12$ pickup collection which is outrageous compared to the fare we paid for the metro+ rickshaw.
Overall it is all about food. We did not learn much, did not enjoy the experience and would not want other people to waste their time.
We think they are nice people but she is not a great teacher.
I would say Chancers!!
If you really want to do cooking, we recommend you do it in Udaipur where you have more choice of real teachers.
It is not nice to have to write such a review but we booked from her based on the good review we read here and felt we had to share our experience

This really was a super-packed day with cooking in the morning and then visits to the spice and food markets. The food that we cooked in the morning included Butter Paneer, Dal Tadka, Pulao, Roti and Lachha Paratha - all absolutely delicious. The only problem was that I ate so much, that I had little room for sampling foods on our tour of the food and spice markets! Personally, I found the markets absolutely fascinating with so many sights and smells to take in and I would have liked to have spent days here getting to know the range of different foods. The course with Farheen was a very good 'taster' (literally of course!) and now that Farheen has sent me the recipes, I am going to to try them out at home - starting this weekend with some friends as 'guinea pigs'! An altogether very enjoyable day in Delhi.

We had the opportunity to visit farheen last march and it was a very pleasant moment. We finally could see how the indian food is made. it is very tasty comparing to what you will find in most of the restaurant. she also give you tips to adjust the level of spices for your own taste which is very important in indian cuisine. 5 stars for her !

Hi,
How much does she charge for such courses? Is it economical?
