About Street Connections
Temples and crumbling mansions lie hidden in narrow lanes. So are remarkable sights: monks, monkeys, gods and ghosts, sacred trees, a glittering wedding market... Walk with our young guides, stop, take a picture, ask questions, listen to stories that merge the old with the new. Take a rickshaw to the permanent yellow red mist of the spice market. Climb for a rooftop view. The Street Connections Old Delhi Walk is run, enthusiastically, by ex-beneficiaries of the Salaam Baalak Trust, an Indian charity working with street children. It ends at SBT's largest boys' shelter home where you hear the guides' own stories and why other children still run away. We invite you to come and see all this, and by doing to help the guides build their independent lives, and help the Trust's ongoing work too.

Amazing tour in Old Delhi, guided by two really nice and professional guys. They had such a story to tell and we could not have understood the sights without their background. The school we visited at the end of the trip was truly humbling and re affirmed there is good in the world and we all have a part to play in it. Thankyou.

It was a very fun tour that I enjoyed. If you like to understand how Delhi works I recommended. In our three hour tour we learned a lot. You can also taste a lot of safe street food. Our guide name was Sanju and his English was very good.

Wonderful trip into the heart of the Old Delhi, all made possible by Sanju. Thanks!! I loved walking around old villas, temples, feeding monkeys, sneezing around the spice market, and talking to workers from a saree manufacturer (Michelle Obama's dress was made here). A must stop in sightseeing Delhi.

Sanju is a very friendly, well spoken, intelligent young man who made this walk a very memorable experience! Walking the backstreets, being able to see a lot of hidden gems of the city was great by itself but having Sanju made it special. There was a possibility to chat with the people we encountered along the way as he was always happy to translate and patiently explain every question I came up with. Thank you for showing me this great and exciting side of a city and it‘s inhabitants you have to love once you get in touch with! I can totally recommend this walk!
