STAY AWAY!!!
horrible tourist trap. Lots of touts will urge you, beg you to go there. When they say they are just being friendly tell them to bug off. Be a bit rude if need be.

TOURIST TRAP. DO NOT BUY HERE. I’ve been to Delhi several times and should have known better. I asked to go to Dilli Haat and my driver insisted I go here instead due to “better quality.” I was followed around and pressured relentlessly into buying several items one could get for at least HALF the price at the real Dilli Haat, and from real artisans. When I told my Indian colleagues what happened, they confirmed that I had been scammed. The drivers get a commission for delivering customers to this shady business. It’s my own fault for thinking I could trust the hotel driver - don’t make the same mistake.

It's very beautiful store and having such beautiful artifacts. Talking about the carpets. Hand made hand knotted carpets are really beautiful and amazing, so nice and also very nice staff to explain and giving brief history of such carpets.☺️

I ended up here instead of Dilli Haat on my second day in Dehli and it was a huge mistake.
The building is a small collaborative of several shops selling different wares: rugs, jewelry, souvenirs, statues tea, and spices. All high pressure sales and grossly inflated prices.

Although I did buy a few things everything is overpriced. the jewelry shop keeper got angry when I refused to purchase overpriced gold and only bought a silver pendant. Spices (mainly saffron) were 4x more costly than a local Indian market I visited with my tuktuk driver.

I've yet to check my credit card statement but will do so since a previous reviewer said she had several fraudulent charges on her Amex card.

I did find that even in Jaipur, things were overpriced, but with learning the fine art of haggling I was able to get many purchases for almost half off the asking price. I was able to buy T-shirts there and outside the Taj Mahal for approximately US$2.00 each.

If you're doing the Golden Triangle tour, wait for Jaipur for your shopping fix.

So I've been to this shop on 3 different trips to Delhi. This place is not bad depending on what you're looking for. Here is my advice:
1. This place is good for textile items. (Price and quality) they have silk PJs and robes ready made most places don't. If you get a tailored suit get it here over Delhi Haat.
2. Figures & statues (top floor) is overpriced go to paharganj market and the block. If it's the sandlewood ones you want goto the government cottage to know you get the real thing.
3. Rugs. Negotiate hard and walk out if you must.
4. Shop around if you can.

It’s the same name just stealing the business and their better reputation and hiking up the prices.

Terrible cut on my suit as well. The most dire tailoring I’ve ever seen. Total waste of money and now a very expensive dish cloth.

Sari was v expensive as well.

Terrible vibe in there too.

Avoid at all costs.

We were much welcome and provided a light lunch and drinks with carpet history and education. We bought several rugs and would definitely return to purchase more. Everything was low pressure, low haggle, the salesman was very pleasant. Everything arrived back in USA on time through DHL and nominal $45 fee. We are beyond happy with our purchases.
