Shoppers delight for many decades in Delhi, Connaught Place can never be dull. You enjoy shopping, moving around, see a picture and enjoy food in the restaurants. Central Park is a place where you can relax and enjoy some cultural and musical programs as many performances are organized here. Just go there and experience it.

Central Park at Connaught Place is exotic and beautiful.
Today so many activities happen here, mostly cultural. When we visited this Park, a youth festival was in progress.
It has good space, good aesthetics, good ambiance and the most central location, easily approachable from all over the city and the national capital region as it is at the top of the hub of the metro rail.
It was nice to see a huge tricolour at the center of the Park.
It has space for all, families, young people, cultural enthusiasts or just who want to have a quiet moment in the most happening place.
The fact that one is right in CP, it has advantages of getting a movie, a restaurant, a shopping experience or whatever you are looking for.
A good place to visit and spend sometime.

Recently revamped Central Park in cp has one of the most beautiful tricolor Indian flag you l ever see anywhere in the world, which u can see from any corner as u come to cp.As soon as u enter it turns into one of the heavens housing couples in every corner, shade, space u go in the park. Come in weekends something always happening like recently Raahgiri ,then painting competition ,music festivals etc but weekdays I would suggest stay away if you do not enjoy the sight of couples smooching ,just enjoy the view of the majestic tricolor from outside

This is in the middle of CP. The park is well manicured and nicely maintained. It came up nicely after the construction of metro. The Rajiv Chowk metro station lies beneath this park. There are restrooms available on the outer periphery. One have to go through a small security check before entering. There is a small open theatre / ampitheatre where activities are organised sometimes. I have seen some plays there during winters when the weather is cool. The park is very very good and to have a green area like this in the middle of the city is very good. However the worst part is that you will find couples all around the park getting cosy behind the bushes and trees. this is annoying and giving a bad name to the park and the city and should be controlled. Tea and small namkeen snack vendors rome everywhere to keep ur tumm happy.

Be really careful when you're walking around at least the inner ring of Connaugt Place. TOURISTS are targetted for a local scam. There are people who will throw some form of excrement on your shoes (yes seriously) which means you have to enter the park where the shoe cleaners are...of course they'll clean your shoes for you, they'll give you a price when they start (for me it was 2000 Rupees) at the end it turned into 5000 rupees.
Of course, whilst you're there the ear cleaning guys will come over and start trying to get you to let them clean your ears out. However, I'd already seen this happening and of course they'll show you a whole load of crap they claim to get out of your ears, but they're just scraping brown wax from a pot they're holding (you cant see as you're looking away from them as they clean your ears).
Sadly my sneakers were fabric and regardless of a reasonable clean, there was still remains of it on my shoes....had to dump them and then get a new pair.

The central park at connaught place has a very nice location from where you can relax & see the circular shopping areas, eating places & entertainment joints around you.It is situated just above the busiest & well connected Rajeev Chowk metro station. The park is a refreshing & beautiful place to relax surrounded by lavish lawns, colorful flowers, fountains & water streams, all beautified in the evening by lovely lighting !
It has come to become Delhi`s primary recreation area where many social & cultural events, including musical soirees, plays, art & other exhibitions are held. There is a 350 chair amphitheater for this purpose. It has become a well known hang out for the young & foreign backpacker tourists. Also an outing for the whole family.Worth a visit.

Liked the open market and little shops. Did not like the street sellers who follow you. However, if you really want what they are selling then you can barter for about 1/3 rd or less of what they are asking

Central Park at Connaught Place (now called Rajiv Chowk) is a well known spot in New Delhi. On March 7 this year, a monumental national flag measuring 60 ft. in width and 90 ft. in length and weighing 35 kg mounted atop flagpole measuring 207 ft. in height was hoisted and has become a must see sight for visitors to Delhi.
