We initially arranged a 1 day Delhi site seeing tour with Letief, who provided us with a car & driver for a good price. Sanjay our driver spoke good English and was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed our day so much, that we booked for an additional day with the same driver.

Very pleased with the sunrise tour we booked with Mr Latif. The driver (Chandra) picked us up on time from our hotel in Delhi and got us to Agra in plenty of time. The tour guide Sumit was very informative and had very good English both about the Taj Mahal and the Fort. The sunrise tour was worth getting up early for, as it meant the monuments were not too busy.
We were taken to shops when not at the monuments, the visits were optional, but there was nothing else if we said no. The shops weren’t too pushy so it was ok.
Breakfast was additional, but the lunch was included.
It would have been nice to have been offered some water during the journeys between Delhi and Agra.
Overall very happy with the tour and would recommend to others new to India.

I booked a two day personal tour of Delhi and one day of Agra. I discussed with Dal Lake the sites I would like to visit and we agreed on an itinerary. I paid for skip-the-line tickets but when I got to some of the tourist sites and there was a long line to enter, we could not skip the line...I decided in those cases not to visit the site as I had limited time in Delhi. I did not get a refund.
I booked a tour on Gatimaan Express to Agra about 5 days before my arrival. Latif phoned me and confirmed. I was impressed receiving the phone call. I paid for Gatimaan Express to Agra on arrival but I did not ride on Gatimaan Express to Agra as it was fully booked. This I discovered when boarding the train that Dal Lake booked. I asked Latif about it when I returned to Delhi and he said sorry the Gatimaan express was fully booked (impossible if you book 5 days in advance) and he had to get me on a cheaper train to Agra. I did not get a refund. I consider it a bit of a rip off.
Since I paid US and Europe tourist prices for the tour (which I was happy to do) I was expecting similar service not a rip off. So be on the look out... I must say that the tour guides are nice people. Apparently they dont get paid if Dal Lake receive a poor review. This is why I post this 3 months after my visit. I've already posted another review about Dal Lake about the itinerary they put together with the personal tour guide. This I enjoyed.. Only these things that I mention has been bothering me for a while and thought I should mention to other tourists.

Dear Guest thanks for your review us not once but twice as before 2/3 months were you mentioned your satisfaction of the trip.
For the train ride to Agra you requested for Ghatimaan express for both ways chair class.
This is true on the peak season some times this train is not posiable as i have spoken you by phone for reservations is available 5 days before your journey.We could not book it due to not receive any advance amount from you and the train went full.
At last minute you met me and ask for your tickets and still i help you and book you another faster train Shatabdi express from Delhi to Agra in first class coach in same amount we discussed before and back delhi by Ghatimaan express.
You have mentioned in your review that you discovered the Ghatimaan express train is fully booked up when you ride the Shatabdi express train. Sir you know it very well the ghatimaan express train departs at 8:10 am from Delhi and Shatabdi express dep. 6:00 am (In both trains travel Differance is about 10 minutes) which you ride.Day before we have discussed with you personally and you were agry with all. Then were we make mistakes for your ticket and how it was possible to refund you, instant of Chair class we provide First class of the train.
With our guide you were very happy of his services and he try his the best. This is the reasons we have hard instructions for guides we provide to keep all the guest Happy otherwise they loose their pays.
This is a part of providing services.

We were lucky to find dale lake holidays and Mr Latif that helped us to make our trip, as we like and also helped us in everything. Mr. Ravi, our driver was very kind and did everything we wanted, even places that wasn't on the route.
We didn't know anything about this country and Dale Lake Holidays makes feel safe and comfortable during all stay! I truly recommend it!

I had a very enjoyable tour to Agra to see Taj, Agra fort and baby Taj. It was arranged by Latif from Dal Lake Holidays in Delhi. Latif can be found at the Sunstar Heritage hotel in Channa Market, Karel Bagh, Delhi.
The tour guide, Nasiba Radjabova and the driver picked me up at Agra Cantt station. It was very easy to connect as she met me with a paper stating my name. We proceeded to the Taj. They had a constand supply of bottled water in the vehicle.
The tour guide bought tickets and the tour commenced. Nasiba is a walking encyclopedia as she has an incredible knowledge of the history of India. We proceeded to the Agra fort after spending 3 hours at the Taj. After that we had lunch with another tour group. We visited Marble art and jewelry stores and then we were off to the baby Taj. The tour concluded with a last stop to view the Taj. The driver took me back to Agra Cantt station around 16h00. A word of caution: check for pick pockets at this station.
I returned to Delhi with the Gatiman express train. Unfortunately the food on this train is terrible. Nevertheless, in Delhi, the driver from Latif picked me up and we returned to the hotel.

I requested a private tour from my hotel the Sunstar Heritage (owned by Latif). It is much easier and more trustworthy than relying on a street operator as Latif both owns the hotel and runs a touring business from the same premises.
The tour guide, Aamir Khan, was professional and took me to all the place I wanted to see. Most important he is streetwise and therefore could take me to places and markets I would never have visited on my own.
Important tips for private tours: Establish the exact itinerary upfront and agree what is included and what is excluded. Also how to handle a situation when you have paid for the tour but due to long cues or weather it was not possible to take the tour.
The cost of Latif's tour is on par with costs for European or USA type of day excursions. So don't expect to pay what a tuk-tuk driver would charge you. But you pay the premium for peace of mind, which is important especially if you have only two days to tour Delhi. Driver and public transport such as tuk-tuk was included as well as access to the attractions which makes it easy then to cover many attractions in two days.

Our trip was great, mr. Happy, the travel manager, arranged the perfect condictions for my romantic tour with my girlfriend. We wanted to visit Dehli, Agra, Púshkar and Jaipur and he scheduled the tour and the hotels adapted to our pocket without risking the conditions for our romantic tour in India. The driver, named Raul, was very kind, punctual and patient. He took us everywhere we wanted and waited for us the time we needed to see and enjoy the temples, places, villages and cities. He toured with us but anytime we wanted to be alone he would go to rest or do his things. Conditions like this are rare to find so we deeply recommend this company and its services. We want to comeback soon. From India with love!

we travelled with Dal Lake after a referral from a friend. Travelling from Delhi to Agra then onto Jaipur seeing the sites along the way. Our driver was SUNIL and he was quite superb, looking after us and we must have frustrated him with our on the hoof changes but he smiled and took us wherever we requested. The Taj was stunning and our guide Raj took pictures we could only dream of.
Overall I thoroughly recommend Dal Lake (request SUNIL he is fantastic).
