June 10, 2024 Time 23:14. The saleslady at the Dior Make Up Counter was very lazy and fooling customer by giving wrong product and wrong information. I should have come back and return the product only if im not tired from the flight. Its sad to say that they are hired and paid but seems they dont want to work and dont want to be there. Never again i will purchase from this store. Zero customer service!

Horrible experience at Delhi Duty Free April 30, 2024 – Pushy sales staff would not take no for an answer. Lied to me about the cost of items and rang up items I did not want at the register. Charged me over $1000 USD for what they told me was $200 USD approximately. When I saw how much I was charged a few hours later, I asked for a refund for untouched merchandise, and they refuse. AVOID this store at all costs – They are crooks.

Fake contraband whisky do not buy alcohol.

I got two Glenfiddich Vat02 for 11500 rupees from delhi duty free and both are fake bottles taste worse than blender pride local indian whisky. Not worth more than 500 rupees only.

I am big fan of glenfiddich vat 02 which is thick and dark, I have few bottles the one from Sydney and other airports taste awesome. But delhi duty whisky is undrinkable.

I have left delhi, emailed my complaint to delhi duty free but they don’t do anything. No Testing nothing.

Do no buy whisky from delhi dirty free they are fake and cheat.

This is not duty free. Prices are cheaper on UK high street. Appears Indian taxes are very high on alcohol. And never any offers.

Salespeople swarm you and keep coming, and steer to higher priced items. The aggressive sales approach doesn’t give you time to think, and the salespeople just push and push and push; it all distracts.

I wanted souvenir tea, and the one in particular that I was looking at came in a small box and it was inexpensive, 690 rupees. My only hesitation was due to the particular flavour I was looking for was out of stock, Salesperson directed me to completely different brand or box, unmarked pricing, saying it’s a much better tea. I asked about the price and was told it was the same, I further explained how I didn’t want to spend much, and he confirmed that he understood, and walked me to the cashier. I paid partial with my remaining rupees and paid the balance with my credit card, It wasn’t until I later saw the conversion that I realized how I much was actually changed, As soon as I returned home, I contacted the Duty Free and explained the situation, and after s few days “investigating”, they concluded that I knowingly purchased the outrageously expensive tea. I ended up buying 2 little boxes, with 25 tea bags each, for over US$33 each.

I felt like I was duped. It had been a long airport day, and I was headed to my gate, and made the mistake of not paying attention. I was easy prey to the persistent salespeople.

CHEATING AT DELHI DUTY FREE!

Sales People in Delhi duty free are conning customers. Shame this is happening legally at the airport.

We left Delhi today morning (16.4.24). Wanted to buy cigarettes at airport, and was told by one of the salesman that 4 cartons are allowed per person, on a flight to UK, including kids. Hence bought according to that quantity.

Was visiting Delhi after 5 years, and bought in goodbfaith as advised by the salesman. Upon paying for the same, boarding card were checked as a procedure, but even the lady on thenl till disnt mention otherwise, and let the sale go ahead. As per receipt, her name is Kaushambi An, and sales staff ID - DDFS004536.

TIME OF SALE - 0923hrs, Tin No. 07110377693, POS ID - SO904, Date of sale - 16.02.24

Upon reaching at heathrow today evening, and got my cigarette confiscated, I learnt that salesteam is cheating on consumers, perhaps for their comission ad ons.

I would like to ask for whole refung of what I had paid, and concerned people in this transaction shall be going through penalties.

Kindly send share an email, I can address my recwipt and UK customs consfication note.

Regards,
Tanuj

Clearly recommended the wrong product shade at the store and first blamed me then when I showed proof said that the product is opened and not eligible for return/exchange. Extremely dissappointed as the product was expensive.

Duty-Free Nightmare at Delhi Airport
Avoid Delhi Duty Free! Poisoned by "Premium" Whisky (Buyer Beware!)

My Delhi layover took a terrifying turn at the Duty-Free. I splurged on 5 bottles (1 Blue Label, 2 Chivas 15, 1 Glendevron, 1 Glenfiddich 15) - almost $800 (Rs. 60,000)!

I met a childhood friend and we cracked open the Glendevron 20-year-old. Half a bottle later, we felt like death warmed over.

Severe headaches,
nausea,
vomiting

it was like experiencing a slow poisoning.

This wasn't just a hangover; we suspect the liquor was completely fake.

We're out Rs. 60,000 on potentially life-threatening poison. I'm filing a police complaint against DDFS to warn others and hopefully seek accountability. Stay away from Delhi Duty Free! Their "premium" whisky could ruin your trip (or worse).

I bought 4 bottles of Whiskey at Indira Gandhi International Duty-free, and they insisted on taking free Pringle chips. The pringles were listed INR "0" on the monitor but when I checked the receipts at home, they had charged me 200 per packet which is INR 1000 in total. I also cross-checked my bank details, and yes they did charge me for FREE PRINGLE CHIPS. I don't know how and when they did the magical calculations, probably when I was packing my articles.
My request to all the buyers is always to check their receipts and make the second calculation before making the payments.

Had a really great experience in the Duty Free shop during our trip .

We had to buy a fare amount of alcohol as it was way too cold in Delhi ( 1° - 3° C ) . We loved the collection . The price was reasonable and the service was great as well .
