This review only allows for 5 stars but I have to say it was worth so much more! Aditya Shahi was our host. He was personable and fun.
This company and he specifically did not accept a tip.
Very rare.
Just a unique and special experience.
No one has got sick from these tours that my tour operator has done with this company.

Best way to start a visit to Delhi

We went on a morning tour the first day after arriving and it was the best way to immerse ourselves in the sounds and smells and tastes of India. Chef Rajeev took us on a personalised tour that really was personalised as he alters on the way through as you react to various taste levels - the highlights were visiting places that you would normally avoid and have a great experience. Food highlights were the frozen mango kulfi and the samosas - truly a unique and an unforgettable experience

Best way to start your India trip is by taking a food tour. Not just any food tour, Indiafoodtours send a chef to guide you through the markets and stalls. You will stop to sample many different dishes and snacks, sweet and savoury. Don't miss this.

Excellent Tour

We arrived in Delhi yesterday and what a great morning we had walking the streets and through busy markets with Jaidev. Jaidev was excellent in showing us through many on the busy market areas and sampled great street food along the way. He cared for our safety the entire time. I highly recommend connected with his team when you arrive in Delhi.

Thank you Ashwani for an amazing food tour

We had an amazing food tour with our very knowledgeable guide Ashwani. Everything we tried was incredible. It was wonderful to experience local food in a local environment. Ahswani took us places that we would not have crossed our minds to enter. We tried a wide variety of dishes involving chickpeas, samosa, fruit sandwiches, breads, ice cream (mango ice cream was amazing), watermelon with pomegranate & spices on top, and a great range of curries. We were also taken to a spice market, which was also good fun. Our guide also enlightened our knowledge of Delhi and gave us a rich History of the city as we walked round, which is something we greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ashwani for a great trip and we hope to see you next time we are in Delhi.

Great time with Jaidev!

We had such a wonderful tour with Jaidev. His knowledge of Delhi and the local food was outstanding. As we had a long layover at the airport, we contacted Tours by locals for a way to fill our time. It was just perfect. The photographs Jaidev took and sent us were beautiful. Thanks so much for making the end of our trip to India so perfect. My daughter Katie and I are so grateful.

Old Delhi Food Tour

This food tour was awesome from start to finish. The establishments visited, the dishes selected and the order of we ate them really maximized the enjoyment of tasting and savoring all the flavors that Indian cuisine embodies. Our guide, Shikha, was very knowledgeable and informative and her emphasis on extracting different flavors with each bite and establishing balance was a welcome point of view. I highly recommend this tour to every “foodie” visiting Delhi.

Wow! This exceeded our expectations of a Delhi foodie tour. Loved that we opted for private tour, as our guide could cater the day our likes. Totally worth the small extra charge. Most importantly we experienced true Indian food and learned a bit about the history of Indian cuisine. Plus really experienced Old Delhi. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Delhi!

Second tour with this great company

Did the food tour of Delhi with Rajeev 4 years ago, it was fantastic, best food ever. Contacted Rajeev as we were heading back to India in October. He organised a guide to take us on a 1 day sightseeing tour of places we missed last time, again it was a great day. I would thoroughly recommend Rajeev and his company. 5 stars all the way
